Taylor Lautner Stars In New ABDUCTION Clip

Taylor Lautner stars as a young man unwittingly thrust into a deadly world of covert espionage in this new clip from Lionsgate’s action-thriller, ABDUCTION, directed by John Singleton. For those questioning Lautner being a part of the action, mystery and suspense of ABDUCTION, you also may be seeing the film’s hero in a new light. “First and foremost,” observes director Singleton, “people are really going to be very excited by what Taylor Lautner does as an actor in this movie. Everybody knows he’s a good-looking kid. He’s like, you know, cool and everything. But what he does as an actor in this movie, you’re able to see the growth of a new star that’s going to be around for a long time. And that’s no idle boast, either, because he’s charismatic in this movie, he’s romantic, he’s charming, and he kicked ass. What more can you want?”

SYNOPSIS:

For as long as he can remember, Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) has had the uneasy feeling that he’s living someone else’s life. When he stumbles upon an image of himself as a little boy on a missing persons website, all of Nathan’s darkest fears come true: he realizes his parents are not his own and his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide something more mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined.

Just as he begins to piece together his true identity, Nathan is targeted by a team of trained killers, forcing him on the run with the only person he can trust, his neighbor, Karen (Lily Collins). Every second counts as Nathan and Karen race to evade an army of assassins and federal operatives. But as his opponents close in, Nathan realizes that the only way he’ll survive – and solve the mystery of his elusive biological father – is to stop running and take matters into his own hands.

ABDUCTION stars Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Denzel Whitaker, Michael Nyqvist and Sigourney Weaver. The film is directed by John Singleton and written by Shawn Christensen. BREAKING DAWN Takes Over Entertainment Weekly

Why, hello all of you fun-loving Twi-Hards out there! Melissa here, and I have some fun stuff to share… Entertainment Weekly has released some brand new photos of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN. Now, I normally don’t publish movie news from magazines, but hey… I do it for all you vampire/wolf lovers out there… because I care!

From Entertainment Weekly:

Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”

But filming wasn’t always quite so idyllic. As the stars and director tell EW,  Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2  (in theaters November 18 and November 2012) involved a grueling, globe-trotting shoot, and scenes far darker, bloodier, and more polarizing than any in the franchise so far. If audiences haven’t matured with the Twilight books, they’re about to grow up fast. “We shot everything—whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth—as potent and powerful as it can be,” says director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of a PG-13 rating. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book—not so much the honeymoon sequence (“It feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good”), but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”

Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, says that even being a member of the wolf pack didn’t have its privileges. “Everybody is always complaining to me that I don’t have to wear the contacts, I don’t have to wear the white makeup or wear wigs and all that stuff. And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’” And as for his plot arc in Part 2, which will involve falling for—or imprinting on—Renesmee? “There were many times I walked up to Stephenie [Meyer] and asked her, ‘What exactly is imprinting?’” says Lautner. “It’s still a very confusing thing for me, so don’t ask.”

THE AMAZON COVEN

  • Senna – Tracey Heggins
  • Zafrina – Judi Shekoni

Among the oldest vampires in the world, Senna and Zafrina are descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe.  They have lived outside of civilization for centuries and therefore make no attempt to keep up a human facade. Though they drink human blood, the Amazons have long been allies of Carlisle.

THE EGYPTIAN COVEN

  • Amun – Omar Metwally
  • Kebi – Andrea Gabriel
  • Benjamin – Rami Malek
  • Tia – Angela Sarafyan

THE IRISH COVEN

  • Maggie – Marlane Barnes
  • Siobhan – Lisa Howard
  • Liam – Patrick Brennan

The Irish Coven, a relatively young group, was founded by Siobhan and Liam, but Maggie’s talent made her an important element of it. They are not vegetarian but they are civilized.

THE ROMANIAN COVEN

  • Vladimir – Noel Fisher
  • Stefan – Guri Weinberg

The Romanian Coven is one of the oldest covens in the world and they were the ruling vampire family until they were unseated by the Volturi.  For that reason they harbor a centuries old resentment of the Italian coven.

THE AMERICAN NOMADS

  • Garrett – Lee Pace
  • Mary – Toni Trucks
  • Randall – Bill Tangradi
  • Peter – Erik Odom
  • Charlotte – Valorie Curry

Turned during the Revolutionary War, Garrett has chosen to live a nomadic existence, wandering the world on his own. Garrett has never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life, and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Though not a vegetarian, Garrett is among Carlisle’s closest and oldest friends.

Mary and Randall are American nomadic vampires.

Peter and Charlotte are nomadic vampires and mates.  They were created during the aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars, in which Jasper was a key player.  They have remained friends with Jasper ever since.

THE EUROPEAN NOMADS

  • Alistair – Joe Anderson

A nomadic vampire from England, Alistair has a misanthropic, brooding personality and a deep mistrust of all authority.  Although he counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance, he doesn’t visit more than once a century.

Review: THE TWILIGHT SAGA – ECLIPSE

Oh ladies… it’s about to get steamy in here.

The third installment of the Twilight series is here, and it is pretty darn streamy. In ‘Eclipse’, Bella (Kristen Stewart) is pushing to be turned into a vampire by Edward (Robert Pattinson). His request is for her to marry him, then he will be the one to turn her himself. This absolutely devistates Jacob (Taylor Lautner), and he starts to fight for her love, harder than he has before. In the process, Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard… a new addition to the cast) has joined with the Volturi to form an army of new vampires, lead by Riley (Xavier Samuel), who just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, vampires and wolves alike must join forces to keep Bella safe and to defeat the vicious, wreckless army of new vampires.

The chemistry in this movie is rather intense. Pattinson, Stewart, and Lautner have all settled quite nicely into their roles. They are actually rather believable in their tangled little love triangle. Lautner was given some nice little zingers to throw into his dialogue. Pattinson didn’t have much going on in the film, so his role was a bit flat. As for Stewart, she always seems a bit flat. It just seems like she could be a tad bit more dramatic. I know the role of Bella is clumsy and argumentative, but still… there could be a little more passion there.

The story line was a bit bland for the book. As much as I enjoyed the love triangle, there still could have been a bit more action. Heck, with how much the cast had to train, I was expecting way more out of the fight scenes. The fight scenes that they did have were rather stunning to watch. Still, it left me wanting more.

It was pretty cool seeing Jack Huston, who I got the chance to interview Saturday in the film. He was great as Royce King. Might I add that he was super nice (and ladies… pretty darn attractive!). Seriously, I am honored to have gotten the chance to sit down with him.

The one big complaint I have about this film is that the wig that Stewart had to wear was TERRIBLE! I couldn’t stop staring at it!  I know that her hair was cut off for her role in “The Runaways”, but they could have done a better job with the color, length and overall appearance of that hideous mop!

So, to sum it all up for all you Twi-Hards… Pattinson – HOT… Lautner – HOT… story-Eh!

Overall Rating: 3.75 out of 5 stars
