Behind the scenes, the directors of photography were Don Hardy and Naomi Ture ; the editor was Kurt Kuenne; and the animation is by Rob Simmons. Dave Tweedie and Helen Jane Long composed the music.

The movie’s vast landscape provided ample opportunity for the composer to explore a diverse range of musical territory, from beating drums to sweeping strings and electric guitar-driven operatic themes, utilizing nearly 200 instruments. “The score includes almost everything in a composer’s arsenal. The instrumentation ranges from big, brutal percussion with string sections and musical sound design, and everything in between. I used anything I could get my hands on,” says the composer.

Lionsgate announced today that principal photography has commenced in Atlanta on the feature film adaptation of THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT – PART 1, the third installment of the blockbuster DIVERGENT action adventure franchise, starring Golden Globe nominated Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, and Academy Award nominated Naomi Watts.
After the earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, in Allegiant Part 1 Tris (Shailene Woodley) must escape with Four (Theo James) beyond the Wall that encircles Chicago to finally discover the shocking truth of what lies behind it.
Golden Globe nominated Jeff Daniels joins the cast.
Returning cast members include Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Keiynan Lonsdale and Jonny Weston, as well as Mekhi Phifer and Daniel Dae Kim.
Other new cast members also include Nadia Hilker and Bill Skarsgård.
Based on author Veronica Roth’s New York Times best seller, the film is being directed by Robert Schwentke from a screenplay by Noah Oppenheim and Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and Stephen Chbosky. Lionsgate will release ALLEGIANT – PART 1 theatrically in North America through its Summit Entertainment label on Friday, March 18, 2016. The fourth installment in the series, ALLEGIANT – PART 2, is slated for release on March 24, 2017.

On May 22, 2015, PAC-MAN – one of the most iconic videogame characters in history – will celebrate his 35th birthday.
With the character coming to the big screen this summer in Sony Pictures’ PIXELS, the studio is joining in to celebrate with a global birthday party of epic proportions. In cities around the world and online, film talent will join with moviegoers and special guests to celebrate with birthday cakes, free play of the PAC-MAN arcade game, and special events localized to each city.
PIXELS is set for release in theaters nationwide on July 24, 2015.
As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie “The Fire Blaster” Plant (Peter Dinklage) saved the world thousands of times – at 25 cents a game in the video arcades. Now, they’re going to have to do it for real.
In PIXELS, when intergalactic aliens discover video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth, using the video games as the models for their assaults – and now-U.S. President Cooper must call on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders. The folks at The Webster University Film Series are going all-out to celebrate the career of the late Leonard Nimoy. Tenacious Eats “movies for Foodies’ is a one-of-a-kind event where food is prepared and plated in front of you while you watch a film on the big screen. We’ve covered many of the movie-dinners here at We Are Movie Geeks. Now we’ll be teaming up with Tenacious Eats this Saturday at Wizard World Comic Con for an event we’re calling Tenacious Eats Presents Super-8 Super Snacks. It will be from 2pm to 2:45pm in Room 106 at America’s Center
We will be showing a pair of the Max Fleischer SUPERMAN cartoons from the 1940’s
Superman’s original medium was, of course, comic books, and his second venue was a radio program that began in 1940. Superman’s first moving picture appearance, animated or live action, was in the series of cartoons produced by Max Fleischer in the 1940s. Their importance in making Superman publicly renown cannot be understated. With only the comic books Superman would have been popular with children in America, but the radio and cartoon serials made the character so well known that he was soon recognized by all of North America, and then the entire world. Thanks in part to these cartoons his fame would snowball to create his lasting success and international stardom. We’ll be showing two of these, THE MUMMY STRIKES and JUNGLE DRUMS at the Super-8 Super Snacks event at Wizard World Comic Con screened through an old-school Super-8 sound projector. Chefs Liz Schuster and Steve Schmidt of Tenacious Eats will serve food to the audience while the shorts are playing. Since we only have 45 minutes, this is sort of a mini version of what Tenacious Eats does several times a month at their ‘Movies for Foodies’ events, which usually run about four hours and include a feature film, five or six courses, cocktails with every course, an intermission, trivia with prizes, and live music. It will give attendees a taste of what Tenacious Eats is all about.
We’re also going to show a Vincent Price trailer reel, clips of Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood’s gonzo cross-dressing epic GLEN OR GLENDA and Russian animator’s Wladislaw Starewicz incredible 1932 short THE DEVIL’S BALL.
Starewicz used every imaginable piece of scrap for this crazy 9-minute film : old shoes, chicken bones, utensils, broken glasses, dolls, monkeys, rats…nothing was off limits. THE DEVIL’S BALL is a bizarre, funny, and also eerie film that should be seen by anyone with even a passing interest in animation.

WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS is about what it takes to find your voice. Set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole (Efron) spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James (Bentley), who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie (Ratajkowski). With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he is destined for.
Joseph directs from a screenplay he wrote with Meaghan Oppenheimer, from a story by Richard Silverman. The producers are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin, with Silverman executive producing and Johanna Byer serving as co-producer.
