ENTOURAGE’s Johnny Drama In New Short Film “Johnny for Johnnie” – Directed By Kevin Connolly

Johnnie Walker Scotch and ENTOURAGE fans can “hug it out” with excitement. The world’s leading Scotch whisky has partnered with the highly anticipated feature film from Warner Bros. Pictures, Home Box Office and Rat-Pac Dune Entertainment to debut a new chapter in the ENTOURAGE storyline: the short film “Johnny for Johnnie.”

Like the Johnnie Walker ‘Keep Walking’ campaign, ENTOURAGE is centered around personal progress and the celebration of achievements, both big and small, along the way. From embarrassing failures to epic successes and all the steps—and missteps—in between, the guys from Entourage never stop pursuing their dreams with the utmost optimism and confidence.

“What makes the Entourage series so universally relatable is that its story revolves around a group of friends and their unrelenting pursuit of their dreams,” explains Dan Sanborn, VP of Influencer and Entertainment Marketing for Diageo North America. “We all have dreams but it’s not always easy to achieve them. In this short film, Johnny Drama – as only Drama can – brings to life his own dream, bringing some fun and levity to his journey and all of the steps along the way. It’s a classic Johnny Drama story of perseverance.”

It’s that “dream large, live larger” spirit that inspired Johnnie Walker to tap show creator Doug Ellin to write and produce an original short film featuring the beloved Entourage character, Johnny “Drama” Chase.

“If someone mapped it, I bet no one had more missteps than Drama. He didn’t just wake up in Hollywood with all the cars and money. He had to work for it,” notes Ellin. “It’s that reason we chose Drama’s storyline for the short film.”

Directed by ENTOURAGE co-star Kevin Connolly, the short film extends Johnny Drama’s plotline, showing how—in true Johnny Drama style—when you pursue a passion with over-the-top optimism, persistence and a little bit of “layering”, you can achieve…Victory!

“I was really excited from day one to be a part of this project. Not only does Johnny drink Johnnie, but so do I,” shares actor Kevin Dillon. “Drama claims to be Irish, Chilean and part Japanese. I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds a bit of Scottish in his blood as well.”

To unlock the next step in Johnny Drama’s story, visit the Johnnie Walker YouTube channel and share the buzz with your crew by using #KeepWalking on social media.

First Trailer For The ENTOURAGE Movie Is Here

entourage

Vince, E., Turtle, Drama, and Ari are back in the first trailer for ENTOURAGE.

Based on the hugely popular HBO comedy series, along with a built-in audience, director and show creator Doug Ellin’s movie should do very well this summer.

Movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), together with his boys, Eric (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and Johnny (Kevin Dillon), are back…and back in business with super-agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.

The movie also features Billy Bob Thornton, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rhys Coiro, Alan Dale, Rex Lee, Debi Mazar, Scott Mescudi, Haley Joel Osment, Emily Ratajkowski, Perrey Reeves, Ronda Rousey, Constance Zimmer, and Nora Dunn.

ENTOURAGE will hit theaters on June 5

Review: ‘Entourage’ Season 6 Episode 2

It’s almost tradition in Entourage to have an episode about Vince’s new movie premier. This time around it’s for “Scorsese’s Gatsby”, which everyone in the show is calling Vince’s best work yet. The episode doesn’t really accomplish a whole lot or push much story forward but it does give some of the guys great moments. Turtle and Jamie-Lynn are officially stepping out as a public couple, Sloan and E are still sort of a couple and of course Vinnie can get any woman in the world and has the best movie he’s done in years.

The biggest piece of drama comes when Ari learns his new partner might be having an affair with one of the many agents at the Miller-Gold office. This of course can bring down an entire angency if a sexual harassment lawsuit is presented. It’s amazing how many scruples a jerk like Ari can have when it comes to his business and keeping it all in tip top condition.

The only other real piece of plot involves E’s new neighbor Ashley having a crush on him. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but E and Sloan obviously still have feelings and E is claiming that he wants to stay single for a while. It could get complicated. Alexis Dziena plays Ashley and I honestly can’t stand her. I think it has somethign to do with how she looks, but here she’s also playing an annoying stalker type character, who dresses horribly and is very rude.

Review: ‘Entourage’ Season 6 Episode 1

entouragereview

It’s been a year since we last saw the boys of Entourage and it seems that time has been kind to them. Vince has a good movie under his belt for the first time in a long time, Drama is still a cast member on a hit TV show, Turtle is some how still dating Jamie-Lynn Sigler and E has been getting lucky with several girls, but still holds a candle for his old girlfriend Sloan.

The episode is all about growth, and I’m sure the entire season will be as well. Ari is working with his new partner, but now Lloyd wants a promotion. E hasn’t been away from Vince since they moved out to LA together but Sloan tries to push him to sublet a house from her friend, Drama has moved out long ago, and Turtle is always spending the night at Jamie-Lynn’s place. If E actually moves into this place, it’ll leave Vince all alone in the house that they first bought years ago (whic they had moved back into during the off season).

The episode is good with a few good laughs, but mostly sets up the ideas of what the next season is going to be about. Vince’s real growth is that finally, at nearly the age of thirty, he’s getting his Driver’s license. This really shows that he truly is a man-boy with zero real responsibility. He doesn’t know how to live a grown up life. There are also subtle hints that Ari’s new partner may start to drag him down a bit.

This is far from the strongest writing we’ve seen on the series, but it’s a nice change. Seeing the boys all on truly different life paths is kind of nice. It really makes me think that this could be the last year we see Vince and the crew together. Vince’s new film about Enzo Ferrari is pretty cool too. Here’s hoping we see some sweet cars.
