Taylor Lautner Stars In New Trailer For Action Thriller TRACERS

Lionsgate has released the new trailer for the upcoming thriller, TRACERS, starring Taylor Lautner (THE TWILIGHT SAGA, ABDUCTION) and Marie Avgeropoulos (THE 100, 50/50).

After he crashes his bike into a super-sexy stranger named Nikki (Avgeropoulos), Cam (Lautner) is introduced to her crew — a team that uses parkour to pull off heists. Hoping to alleviate his deepening debt to a violent crime gang, Cam quickly joins the group. As the stakes get higher with more dangerous side ventures, the payouts get bigger. Cam must use every ounce of his skill to stay alive as the crew’s heists grow more daring with each job, and gang enforcers breathe relentlessly down his neck.

TRACERS is directed by Daniel Benmayor (PAINTBALL).

The film will be available exclusively on DIRECTV January 22, 2015– and in theaters and On Demand March 20, 2015.

Saban Films Acquires Taylor Lautner’s TRACERS

Saban Films announced today that it has acquired the North American distribution rights to the action thriller TRACERS starring Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga, Abduction) and Marie Avgeropoulos (50/50, The CW’s The 100).

TRACERS reteams Lautner with Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill Entertainment who are producing alongside D. Scott Lumpkin.

The fast-paced action thriller follows New York City bicycle messenger, Cam (Lautner) who is the hottest thing on two wheels, but is in debt to an organized crime gang. When he crashes his bike into a sexy stranger, Nikki (Avgeropoulos), Cam is immediately seduced by her and the thrill of the high-stakes world of parkour.

Saban Films, launched just prior to Cannes, acquired THE HOMESMAN, starring Academy Award winners Tommy Lee Jones and Hilary Swank. The film had its world premiere in competition at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, and Saban Films will release stateside with Roadside Attractions on November 7th.

FilmNation Entertainment will introduce the action thriller TRACERS to international buyers at the Cannes Film Festival. From the producers of Twilight and Dear John, TRACERS will star Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga, Abduction) and will be directed by Daniel Benmayor (Bruc, the Manhunt). Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill Entertainment will produce. WME will handle sales in the US.

At Cannes, FilmNation Entertainment is also handling international sales on THE BLING RING from director Sofia Coppola. In addition, FilmNation has two in-competition titles: LAWLESS from director John Hillcoat starring Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy; and Jeff Nichols’ MUD which is also produced by FilmNation’s Aaron Ryder, starring Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon.

Bowen and Godfrey released the second film in the TWILIGHT saga, NEW MOON directed by Chris Weitz in November 2009.

Temple Hill Entertainment’s most recent productions are Lasse Hallstrom’s DEAR JOHN, starring Channing Tatum (STEP UP, GI JOE) and Amanda Seyfried (MEAN GIRLS, MAMMA MIA) based on the best-selling novel from Nicholas Sparks, David Slade’s ECLIPSE, the third film in the TWILIGHT Saga, and EVERYTHING MUST GO starring Will Ferrell, Rebecca Hall, and Lauren Dern, which sold to Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival.
