Holy cow! This is going to be an amazing ride. I am still fully under Terry Gilliam’s spell and believe he can do no wrong. Check out this newly released first full trailer for Gilliam’s newest film, THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS and then jump up and down all giddy and excited. Tom Waits is going to be great as The Devil and then you have veteran actor Christopher Plummer alongside the late Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell… and don’t forget Verne Troyer. Eagerly awaiting an official US release date, I am!

First ‘Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ Poster and Behind the Scenes Video

Above you’ll find the first poster released for the Terry Gilliam-directed film ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’. I’m guessing it’s international since them there letters look kinda foreign to me.   Not sure which country, and I wouldn’t make myself look even more ignorant by trying to guess which one.

Also we brought you a behind the scenes video some months ago.   It includes concept art and a couple of character pics.

This is going to be one interesting film.   Gilliam’s films always are, even when they’re studio trainwrecks like ‘The Brothers Grimm’.

Heath Ledger ‘Parnassus’ photo leaked…

Being the massive Terry Gilliam junkie that I am, I am chomping at the bit to see ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’. With people calling it “potentially” his best work (including himself), I am eager to see for myself. However, its not Gilliam that has people excited, so much as it’s late star Heath Ledger. Since his unfortunate death, his popularity has risen exponentially… especially after his stellar performance as the Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’. Here’s a new still of Ledger from the upcoming movie that managed to leak out onto the Net…

Terry Gilliam’s newest fantasy masterpiece is still in production and, as usual… he’s a serious director who commits passionately to his work and little gets leaked out from production. The official website is pretty much empty still, but this still from one of the sets was posted up on the “coming soon” splash screen.
