IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that Happy Feet Two, the sequel to the animated hit Happy Feet, will be released in the immersive IMAX® 3D format this Friday, November 18. The film will open in 293 IMAX® theatres domestically, simultaneously with the film’s wide North American release. The movie will also open in 84 IMAX theatres internationally, 6 of which will open this Friday, with the additional runs debuting over the following weeks. More international theatres will be added as pending bookings are confirmed.

George Miller co-wrote the screenplay with Gary Eck, Warren Coleman and Paul Livingston. Miller is also producing the film, along with Doug Mitchell and Bill Miller. Chris deFaria, Philip Hearnshaw, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers. The co-director/cinematographer—camera is David Peers and the animation director is Rob Coleman. The film features vocals by P!nk, with music by John Powell.

Action Adventure Mystery. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)—and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by Professor Moriarty. The cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead of Holmes as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.
