Troubled youth Ron Decker (Edward Furlong, American History X) is sentenced to a ten-year stint in the notorious San Quentin State Prison for a drug-dealing conviction. Inexperienced in the ways of prison life, he’s taken under the wing of Earl Copen (Willem Dafoe, To Live and Die in LA), an experienced con with the entire prison in the palm of his hand – inmates and guards alike. Throwback Thursday – The Top Ten Lines from THE TERMINATOR Franchise

The gang at We Are Movie Geeks is so excited for THE TERMINATOR GENISYS, which opens everywhere next Wednesday July 1st. We’re so excited in fact, that we can’t stop reciting lines from the first four Terminator films. Just this morning, as my wife was leaving for work, I said “Hasta La Vista, Baby”. She smiled sweetly. And when I was talking on the phone to my mom the other day, I said “You’re terminated, f**ker!” She hung up on me. Anyway, we’ve assembled our top ten favorite lines from the Terminator franchise. Perhaps THE TERMINATOR GENISYS will have a few zingers in it as well. We’ll let you know next week when we post our review here at We Are Movie Geeks.

10. “Put down your weapon. And the coffin!” – This is of course from the epic graveyard shootout in TERMINATOR 3 – RISE OF THE MACHINES

9. “I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle!” – From TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY – it’s more a demand than a request.

What don’t you f**king understand?!” – Okay, this isn’t technically a line from any Terminator movie but it is what Christian Bale screamed while throwing his infamous tantrum on the set of TERMINATOR SALVATION.  We Are Movie Geeks could not think of any actual lines from TERMINATOR SALVATION worthy of this list.

1. “I’ll be back!” – A no-brainer – Arnold’s signature line is so popular, he’s used it in other movies that aren’t even part of the Terminator franchise!

Edward Furlong, Steven Bauer, John Savage Added To Cast Of THE AWAKENED

Genie award winner John Savage (The Deer Hunter, Godfather III),  Independent Spirit nominee and Saturn award winner Ed Furlong (American History X, Terminator II), SAG nominee Stelio Savante (A Million Colours, Ugly Betty, My Super Ex Girlfriend) ,Young Artist Award winner Julianne Michelle  (Apartment 1303 3-D, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Shannon’s Rainbow),Golden Globe nominee Steven Bauer (Scarface, Traffic), and Sean Stone (Savages) have joined the cast of The Awakened.

In The Awakened, A young woman (Julianne Michelle) returns home after 14 years to unravel the mystery and discover the truth about her mother’s death.

Written and produced by Joycelyn Engle, the psychological, suspense thriller begins filming in the The Hamptons, NY in September. The Awakened is a Supernova Media production. Supernova Media, based in New York and LA is an emerging independent film production company.

Sony Pictures has come out with THE GREEN HORNET Visual Synopsis – a series of graphic novel style renderings that outline the plot of THE GREEN HORNET movie. Click on the picture above to see it. Pretty ingenious way to market the film.

Synopsis:

The Green Hornet and sidekick, Kato, build the indestructible car, The Black Beauty, to fight crime.

Columbia Pictures’ feature film THE GREEN HORNET, stars Seth Rogen as the vigilante crime-fighter, along with Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz, Tom Wilkinson, Edward Furlong, Edward James Olmos, and Jay Chou as Kato. The film will be directed by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) from a screenplay written by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express), based upon “The Green Hornet” radio series created by George W. Trendle, and produced by Neal H. Moritz (The Fast and the Furious). The film will be in theaters on January 14, 2011.

As you may have guessed (or not) this is more news on Uwe Boll. You have to hand it to the guy, he’s like the Energizer bunny when it comes to his persistence. The only reason I keep following his news is because he fascinates me on a very strange level.

‘Janjaweed’, also known as ‘Darfur’, is Boll’s next movie and he’s currently casting. Apparently, the opinionated critic-slayer has once again landed actual talent for his cinematic schlock, allegedly signing Edward Furlong (American History X) and Billy Zane (Blood Rayne), as well as Kristanna Loken (In the Name of the King). The cast allegedly also includes Matt Frewer (aka Trashcan Man). The movie is said to be a dramatic story that follows journalists covering the atrocities in Sudan.
