“I AM THRILLED TO BE BACK IN THEATERS” Watch John Krasinski And Stephen Colbert Interview For A QUIET PLACE PART II

Director John Krasinski and late night talk show host Stephen Colbert of CBS’s “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert“, along with his wife Evie, celebrated together when Krasinski was the show’s FIRST guest since the lockdown in 2020 to talk about A QUIET PLACE PART II. The film picks up right where the 2018 movie ended and stars Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Djimon Hounsou.

Watch the interview from March 9, 2020 where the two discuss horror films, parenthood, calls he and Blunt’s work “the collaboration of his career” and why he made the first movie.

Those who saw A QUIET PLACE in theaters will remember the silence and how motionless the audience was – no cell phone texting, no candy wrappers crinkling, and no one eating popcorn. We became active participants and it was a collective, heightened experience.

If anyone is going to save theaters this summer it’ll be Krasinski and Emily Blunt. This movie is going to be HUGE, what will get people back into cinemas for that group experience and will see big office returns. In a recent NY Times interview, Krasinski says, “I have no idea what’s going to happen with the box office,” he said. “What’s most important to me is that if you want to see this movie, I’m going to show it to you.”

During Thursday’s interview, the filmmaker and host discussed the terrifying film that as Colbert puts it, “has alot of heart,” the amazing sound design, his surprise visits to the various screenings and how these movies are a “love letter to his kids”.

See this clip of how he surprised audiences in Miami earlier this week.

Check out this hilarious 2020 interview with BBC Radio 1 on Blunt and Krasinski’s take on alternate titles for A QUIET PLACE. In November 2020, Variety reported: Jeff Nichols has been tapped to write and direct a third film in the franchise, based on an original idea from John Krasinski. The new installment will be released in 2022.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

From Paramount Pictures, A QUIET PLACE PART II is ONLY in THEATRES, DOLBY CINEMA AND IMAX ON MAY 28, 2021.

Emily Blunt Talks A QUIET PLACE PART II, BLACK WIDOW, EDGE OF TOMORROW SEQUEL And FANTASTIC FOUR Rumors

Evelyn (Emily Blunt) braves the unknown in “A Quiet Place Part II.”

If there is one film that will get people back in the theaters, it is without a doubt A QUIET PLACE II. The film opens in theaters May 28.

On Tuesday, Emily Blunt and Howard Stern discussed A QUIET PLACE as well as A QUIET PLACE PART II, but the biggest takeaway from the interview was the rumor about FANTASTIC FOUR casting.

Word on the street was they’d been cast to portray the superhero group’s romantically entwined characters: Sue Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Woman, and Reed Richards, a.k.a. the ultra-stretchy Mr. Fantastic.

“That is fan-casting. No one has received a phone call,” Blunt told Howard. “That’s just people saying, ‘Wouldn’t that be great?’”

Considering A QUIET PLACE PART II features a world ravaged by an unexpected and difficult to understand menace, Howard thought his guest’s new film was perfect for the COVID-19 era.

“It’s sort of eerie how much the themes resonate with people much more now,” Emily agreed. “The world expands [in “Part II.”] The family’s home has been decimated, so they have to venture out, and it’s like which neighborhood will extend their hand to you? Who wants to help you and touch you and look out for you?”

The movie premiered in New York City last March just as the pandemic grabbed ahold of the world. As the public health situation worsened, Krasinski decided to pull the film from theaters just before its wide release. Now, over a year later, “A Quiet Place Part II” finally has its chance to shine.

“I feel like I’ve been sitting on my hands for a year, waiting for people to see it with my knees juggling. I just want people to see it so badly,” Emily said. “I never tell people to see my films, ever—this one is such an inspired sequel and I’m really proud of it.”

Before it went to Scarlett Johansson, Emily Blunt passed on the role of Black Widow. She explains the contract issue that forced the decision while talking with Howard Stern.

Lastly, the two discussed where the long-awaited sequel for EDGE OF TOMORROW stands along with Blunt’s thoughts on the original movie and working with Tom Cruise.

Watch The International Trailer, With New Footage Of The Alien Invasion, For A QUIET PLACE PART II – In Cinemas May 28

In 2018, John Krasinski’s A QUIET PLACE turned silence into the building blocks of fright and forged from the horror-thriller genre a modern fable of family love, communication and survival. With its mix of relentless tension and layered storytelling about a tightknit clan fending off an immensely destructive, sound-attuned alien force, the film became a startling hit and cultural phenomenon. Now comes the story’s unnerving second chapter, which picks up right where the Abbott family left off. But A QUIET PLACE PART II also heads to new places as events hurtle past the fragile sanctuary of the “sand path” the Abbotts created in order to prevail in a reality where even a single footstep could be deadly—and into a world of infinite peril beyond.

On Thursday Paramount Pictures released the final trailer, along with a terrific video featuring director John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, for “OMG, we-can’t-wait-for-the-sequel” A QUIET PLACE PART II.

However, the international Movie Geeks were treated to a thrilling and frightening final trailer that featured more footage of what happened during the invasion.

Check out the scary video with lots of monsters.

This is a terrific trailer!!! It gives the sense that from the very beginning of PART 2, there wont ever be any time for the Abbott family to take stock of all that has happened to them in the preceding days. Emily Blunt’s “Evelyn”, is now a solo parent and she will be more determined to overcome unbelievable odds to find a new place to keep her children safe, while these creatures grow more fearsome at every turn. I don’t think the filmmakers had any idea of how the original film would touch such a deep nerve in our culture and around the world.

Plus the score once again is provided by two-time Oscar nominated composer Marco Beltrami. Beltrami scored A Quiet Place, which was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Score and shortlisted for Best Score for the Oscars.

Krasinski has said he decided to start the second chapter quite literally mere seconds after the first movie ends, echoing the classic structure of a serial cliffhanger. Almost immediately, the Abbotts, still reeling from the loss of father and husband Lee, are forced to do the unthinkable: go on the move. They continue to face the same nerve-shredding need to remain absolutely quiet or perish, but there is also an onslaught of harrowing, unforeseen new hazards that will test each family member and their bonds.

“The part that I flipped for was that John wanted to literally pick up the action five seconds after Evelyn has cocked the shotgun in the basement,” states producer Andrew Form. “That felt like an unbelievable way to continue this story. You have a mom, a tiny baby and two children–and for the first time they have to leave this protective world that Lee created to keep his family safe.”

“There’s so much more to experience beyond the farm,” note Krasinski. “But even though we’re greatly expanding the world and the scale of the story, the intimacy comes from the fact that the rules remain the same. It was very creatively exciting for us to have this chance to create much bigger set pieces that still feel true to the story and to the Abbott family’s inner experiences.

Get Your First Look At John Krasinski In New A QUIET PLACE PART II New SuperBowl TV Spot/Featurette

L-r, Marcus (Noah Jupe), Regan (Millicent Simmonds), and Evelyn (Emily Blunt) brave the unknown in “A Quiet Place Part II.”

THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WORTH SAVING.

Here’s a look at Paramount Pictures’ SuperBowl TV commercial for the upcoming A QUIET PLACE PART II.

We will finally get the answers to many questions from the chilling first movie – how quickly did the aliens wipe out most of humanity, what happened on Day One during the initial invasion and subsequent panic and to what lengths did John Abbott go to protect his family and home.

PART I was one of the best horror and most unexpected blockbusters to hit the cinemas in recent years. I’m hoping we’ll be shown where the idea came from to lay sand on the ground as a means to keep their foot steps silent. The innovative story of this post-apocalyptic world was so frightening with the thought that the invaders would take out anyone that made noise.

We ached for this family that had one child taken out by the invaders in front of their eyes, while watching how they planned to take care of a newborn.

Go behind the scenes with director John Krasinski and star Emily Blunt in this featurette where the filmmaker and actress discuss the continuing journey of the Abbott family.

The film opens in theaters and IMAX on March 20.

Top 5 Takeaways From John Krasinski’s A QUIET PLACE PART II Trailer

L-r, Regan (Millicent Simmonds), Marcus (Noah Jupe) and Evelyn (Emily Blunt) brave the unknown in “A Quiet Place Part II.”

On New Years Day 2020 Paramount Pictures released a brand new trailer for A QUIET PLACE PART II, to the delight of many fans… including this girl.

By the looks of the trailer, it looks like the movie will begin where the last one ended.

A QUIET PLACE was so great because of the silence, the creepy sounds we did hear as well as the brilliant score by Marco Beltrami and not knowing what the hell was coming next!

Watch it on Amazon Prime now https://www.amazon.com/Quiet-Place-Emily-Blunt/dp/B07BYSTXMF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1XX9A38HXKOO1&keywords=a+quiet+place&qid=1577907066&sprefix=a+quiet+pl%2Caps%2C202&sr=8-1

While the sequel doesn’t hit theaters until March, here are the top 5 things I noticed about the new preview.

Number 1 – The new trailer shows Day One and how the monsters easily took over. While the original 2018 film begins at Day 89 and then jumps to Day 472, the audience will finally be able to see the initial invasion through flashbacks. However I’d still love to see just a prequel with John Krasinski and how we got to the first movie.

Number Two – We see more of the creatures…

Especially how this one is skulking down the walls.

Number Three – We get our first look at actors Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou. Being a fan of these two actors, both will bring a lot to the story of ordinary people faced with extraordinary circumstances.

Number Four – “You don’t know, do you? But I do.” What’s been going on in other communities and parts of the world and why does this town have power? The radio tower is a clue to the destruction of the invaders.

Number Five – Written and directed by John Krasinski, there will be more dialogue which is a good thing, particularly during the close-up, small spaces scenes. I can’t wait for the continuation of the story and the family we’ve come to care so much for.

A QUIET PLACE PART II IS IN THEATRES, DOLBY CINEMA AND IMAX ON MARCH 20, 2020.
