First Look At Disney’s PETE’S DRAGON In New Trailer And Poster

Check out the first teaser trailer, photos and poster for Disney’s PETE’S DRAGON. The trailer made its debut during “Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60” on ABC Sunday night.

A reimagining of the studio’s cherished family film about the adventures of a boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon, PETE’S DRAGON starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford flies into U.S. theaters on August 12, 2016.

For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley).

Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

Meryl Streep Stars In First Trailer For Stephen Frears’ FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS

Here’s the terrific first trailer for FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS starring Meryl Streep as Florence Foster Jenkins with Hugh Grant as her partner St Clair Bayfield.

The comedy drama directed by Stephen Frears (Philomena, The Queen) tells the inspirational true story of the eponymous New York heiress who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer.

The film celebrates the human spirit, the power of music and the passion of amateurs everywhere. The voice Florence (Streep) heard in her head was divine, but to the rest of the world it was hilariously awful. At private recitals, her devoted husband and manager, St Clair Bayfield (Grant), managed to protect Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give her first public concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall, St Clair realised he had perhaps bitten off more than he could chew. The film’s supporting cast members include Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory) as Florence’s long suffering piano accompanist, Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) and Nina Arianda (Midnight in Paris).

The film is produced by Michael Kuhn (The Duchess) and by Tracey Seaward (Philomena, The Queen). It is executive produced by Pathé’s Cameron McCracken, BBC Films’ Christine Langan and Qwerty’s Malcolm Ritchie. Jeff Nichols’ must-see MIDNIGHT SPECIAL had its World Premiere in Berlin on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the 66th Berlinale International Film Festival .

Peter Debruge (Variety) says in his Berlin film review, MIDNIGHT SPECIAL “puts an original spin on the road movie, ending with a spectacular sci-fi finale on par with Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”

A provocative, genre-defying film as supernatural as it is intimately human, it follows a father, Roy (Michael Shannon), who goes on the run to protect his young son, Alton (Jaeden Lieberher), a boy with mysterious powers that even Roy himself cannot comprehend.

What starts as a race from religious extremists and local law enforcement quickly escalates to a nationwide manhunt involving the highest levels of the Federal Government. Risking everything, Roy is committed to helping Alton reach his ultimate purpose, whatever that might be and whatever it costs, in a story that takes audiences on a perilous journey from Texas to the Florida coast, while exploring the bonds of love and trust, and the nature of faith.

Hyperactive at the best of times, Martha (Anna Kendrick; Pitch Perfect) has gone full-on manic since her latest breakup. She babbles, parties like a monster, cooks everything in sight – and is looking to do something terrible when she meets Francis (Sam Rockwell; The Way Way Back). To anyone else, Francis’s approach would come across as creepy, but Martha can’t help but be intrigued. They seem a perfect match: she’s bananas, he’s bananas… except he’s a deadly sort of bananas. He’s a professional assassin.

Francis is a hitman with a cause: he unexpectedly kills the people ordering the hits. Just as Martha begins to realize her new beau wasn’t joking when he said he had to step out for a moment to shoot someone, things start heating up for Francis. His services are solicited by a dubious client who’s being sought by an equally dubious FBI agent (Tim Roth; Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs). As the bodies pile up, Martha needs to decide whether to flee or join in the mayhem.

McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Tammy) headlines THE BOSS as a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.

McCarthy is joined in THE BOSS by an all-star cast led by Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates. Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson And Julia Roberts Star In MOTHER’S DAY Trailer

Celebrate the one day that connects us all with a new trailer from Open Road Films’ MOTHER’S DAY.

This big-hearted comedy invites us all to enjoy the laughter, tears and love as three generations come together in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.

MOTHER’S DAY is the latest star studded ensemble comedy from director Garry Marshall (“Pretty Woman,” “Valentine’s Day”). Bringing together Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Julia Roberts along with Jason Sudeikis, it’s a celebration of mothers everywhere.

The film, out April 29th, follows in the footsteps of other traditional Marshall ensemble rom-coms like Valentine’s Day (in which Roberts also starred) and New Year’s Eve. Mother’s Day weaves together multiple storylines with Roberts playing Miranda, a television host; Aniston portrays Sandy, a recent divorcée looking for love; and Hudson is Jesse, a mom who seeks to strengthen her relationship with her own mother. Motherhood of many forms is celebrated in the new footage, including Jason Sudeikis as a Mr. Mom-type who connects with Sandy.

Timothy Olyphant, Sarah Chalke, Jon Lovitz, and Britt Robertson also make appearances.
