If there is a red carpet you can bet the Movie geeks will be on it! Hundreds of fans turned out, some showing up as early as 6 hours prior to the kickoff. Walt Disney “Rolls” Out Their New Film “BOLT” Across America!

Walt Disney Pictures kicked off their publicity campaign for the new animated picture “Bolt” with the “Bolt Across America” Tour. The cross country tour is a fund raising campaign to benefit the ASPCA. They are doing this by having 4 “Bolt” super-fans roll a giant hamster ball across the country. Didn’t Jake Gyllenhaal already do that in “Bubble Boy”? The tour stopped in St. Louis last weekend as part of the Tour De Missouri Bike Race. They rolled the ball down 13th street to the Soldiers Memorial plaza where they performed a few tricks and honored   4 canine teams representing the department for their service as real heroes in the community. Movie Geeks Give Back!

This past Saturday the editors of WeAreMovieGeeks.com(Scott,Travis and Ram Man) were out in the community collecting cans for the St. Louis Food Bank and local families ravaged by the recent floods. We set up camp at the Shop N Save in Shrewsbury from 11am til 1pm. And we brought out the swag. Anyone who donated 3 or more cans received a pass to the sneak preview of Pineapple Express. But that’s not all! We would also like to thank Kristy Tullock and all of our friends at Allied Advertising. They gave us passes to American Teen and Tropic Thunder! So in fact if you donated three cans you got to see three movies for FREE! Those who dug deep and donated 10 or more cans got a Step Brothers t-shirt. This promotion was so hot..Shrewsbury Fire Dept. showed up! We hooked them up for all they do for us. At the end of the day the geeks manage to collect well over 100 cans of food. We also awarded the winners of the Pineapple Express Scavenger Hunt with special prizes from the film. We would like to thank everyone who donated, our interns Alex and Ethan, MY103.3’s Smash Morning show  and Shop N Save for letting us set up on their lot! Here are a few of the photos Tagalong Toni shot while we were there:
