Eminem makes a cameo in the new Judd Apatow film ‘Funny People’ and MTV News got to premier the photo. There isnt anything really great or news worthy in the photo, but I am antsy enough to post whatever new stuff we get from ‘Funny People’ because honestly, I think it will be one of the best movies of the summer.
Eminem’s role in the movie is apparently just a small cameo and it looks as if he is playing himself, or at the very least a white rapper.
Someone recently got to sit down with Bob Uecker during a Cubs game and chatted about a ‘Major League’ 4, which he confirmed was in the works. Unfortunately this will likely be a direct to DVD film, seeing as how the last ‘Major League’ movie performed very poorly.
It would be awesome to get the old cast back together to make a sort of ‘The Replacements’ style movie with them being asked to play again even though they are in their 40’s. What do you guys think? The Red Band trailer for ‘Jennifer’s Body’ has hit the web, and it looks pretty eexy. Of course it does star Megan Fox and is written by ‘Juno’ helmer Diablo Cody, but check out this synopsis:
The film follows Jennifer (Megan Fox), a mean-girl cheerleader possessed by a demon who begins feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. It is then up to her “plain Jane” best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) to kill Jennifer, escape from a correctional facility and go after lead singer Nikolai (Adam Brody) and his Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation.

We have come across some new photos from ‘Final Destination 4’ ‘The Final Destination’ which will be hitting theaters August 28th. Even though the last final destination was shitty, David R. Ellis is back who did ‘Final Destination 2’ (my personal fav) and from the trailer it looks to be a pretty fun horror flick. Here is the synopsis:
On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O’Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori (Shantel VanSanten), and their friends, Janet (Haley Webb) and Hunt (Nick Zano), to leave… escaping seconds before Nick’s frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. Thinking they’ve cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one — in increasingly gruesome ways — Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination.”

The Duplass brothers have been shooting their “Untitled Duplass Brothers Project” for the last 6 weeks and we finally get some details on the film. It stars Jonah Hill as the son of a single mother (Marisa Tomei) who begins a relationship with a 40-something guy (John C. Reilly) with a failed marriage in his past. We get this from MTV Movie Blog:
“[Tomei’s character] is very much out of his league,†Duplass explained to MTV News in a recent interview. “They light up an incredible relationship but she doesn’t really let him in and he finds himself on the other side of the coin, like wanting the snuggle and he can’t get it.â€
Reilly soon discovers that she’s been hiding the fact the she has a grown son. The three of them end up having “a very bizarre, codependent relationship,†he said. “It almost develops into some obtuse love triangle, as John and Jonah wrestle for the feelings of Marisa.â€
Whatever the film ends up being called—and whenever it comes out; Fox Searchlight is shooting for late this year or early next—it will strive for the same tone as “Puffy Chair†and 2008’s “Baghead.†“It’s very funny, but it’s also rooted in the humanity of these characters and a lot about what it means to be a little lonely and a little lost and trying to find your way in the world, but at the same time, all the ridiculous funny s— you do trying to find your way,†Duplass said.
Its not secret that I absolutely love everything these guys work on, and this film is packed with a star studded actors instead of their normally indie casts. This movie sounds fantastic and I think this will really elevate these guys into the spotlight more than they already are.
Apparently Pauly Shore has a movie called ‘Adopted’ and is looking to sue Sacha Baron Cohen for the baby adoption gag in his new movie ‘Bruno’. The tagline for Shore’s movie was “First there was Angelina, then Madonna, and now Pauly!”. Here is the trailer from ‘Adopted’:
After watching the ‘Bruno’ promos we all know that he drops a very similar line in the movie so I could see where Pauly Shore is coming from, but honestly id rather just see a cage fight between the two. We get this from NY Daily News:
There may be more trouble brewing for Sacha Baron Cohen. Comedian Pauly Shore is the latest person to threaten the “Bruno†star with legal action, claiming that an adopted-baby bit in the upcoming “Bruno†bears a striking resemblance to the trailer and tag line for his 2007 film, “Adopted.†Shore tells us he has contacted his attorney and is waiting to take legal action against Baron Cohen…

Is the rapper The Game set to portray B.A. Baracus in the A-Team movie? Well that’s the word around the interwebs and Blackfilm.com is saying that The Game is the top choice to take up the role made famous by Mr T. We get this from their site:
While casting is underway for the big screen adaptation on the long running TV series, ‘The A-Team,’ Blackfilm.com has exclusively learned that rapper The Game is being considered for the role of B.A Baracus, which was originated by Mr. T on the television show.
Online buzz has it that the role was going to another rapper-turned-actor, Common, but with his recent casting opposite Queen Latifah in ‘Just Right,’ he may not finish filming before ‘The A-Team’ get rolling in August. Other possible candidates have included Ice Cube and mixed martial arts fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
Honestly, I think that Rampage Jackson would be a far better choice to play this role than The game. Neither of them can really act but at least Rampage Jackson is HUGE like Mr T was back in the day. What do you guys think about this news?
