Final THE EXPENDABLES Poster And Trailer
Is this bitchin’ or what? A final THE EXPENDABLES poster is here from JoBlo.com. Writer, director and star Sylvester Stallone brings together a powerhouse cast of action superstars – never before seen together in one film. The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke, with Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The folks over at IGN have rolled out this final, “film legends” trailer from Lionsgate.
The only life they’ve known is war. The only loyalty they have is to each other. They are THE EXPENDABLES! Leader and mastermind Barney Ross (Stallone), former SAS blade expert Lee Christmas (Statham), hand-to-hand combat specialist Yin Yang (Li), long barrel weapons specialist Hale Caesar (Crews), demolitions expert Toll Road (Couture), and precision sniper Gunnar Jensen (Lundgren).
Living life in the fringes of the law, these hardened mercenaries take on what appears to be a routine assignment: a covert, CIA-funded operation to infiltrate the South American country of Vilena and overthrow its ruthless dictator General Garza (David Zayas). But when their job is revealed to be a suicide mission, the men are faced with a deadly choice, one that might redeem their souls…or destroy their brotherhood forever.
Have a look at the film’s recently updated official site and become a fan on Facebook and follow it on Twitter. THE EXPENDABLES will be in theatres everywhere on August 13th.
THE EXPENDABLES Sneak Peek!
Lionsgate has released this all new sneak peek of THE EXPENDABLES over on YouTube.
Writer, director and star Sylvester Stallone brings together a powerhouse cast of action superstars, never before seen together in one film, in the hard-hitting action thriller, THE EXPENDABLES.
Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) is a man with nothing to lose. Fearless and void of emotion, he is the leader, the sage and the strategist of this tight-knit band of men who live on the fringe. His only attachment is to his pickup truck, his seaplane and his team of loyal modern-day warriors. His is a true cynic who describes what he does as removing those hard to get at stains. The team behind him is made up of Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), former SAS and a savant with anything that has a blade; Yin Yang (Jet Li), a master at close-quarter combat; Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), who has known Barney for ten years and is a long-barrel weapons specialist; Toll Road (Randy Couture), a skilled demolitions expert and considered the intellect of the group; and Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), a combat veteran and an expert in precision sniping who struggles with his own demons.
When the mysterious Church offers Barney a job no one else would take, Barney and his team embark on what appears to be a routine mission: overthrow General Gaza (David Zayas), the murderous dictator of the small island country of Vilena and end the years of death and destruction inflicted on its people. On a reconnaissance mission to Vilena, Barney and Christmas meet their contact Sandra (Giselle Itie), a local freedom-fighter with a dark secret. They also come to learn who their true enemy is: rogue ex-CIA operative James Monroe (Eric Roberts) and his henchman Paine (Steve Austin). When things go terribly wrong, Barney and Christmas are forced to leave Sandra behind, essentially giving her a death sentence. Haunted by this failure, Barney convinces the team to return to Vilena to rescue the hostage and finish the job he started. And to perhaps save a soul: his own.
THE EXPENDABLES will be in theatres on August 13th. To join the fight, check out the film on Facebook.
THE EXPENDABLES Poster Provides Skull and Crossbows
Okay, maybe no crossbows, but, if you look carefully, I’m pretty sure you’ll find just about every, other damn type of killing tool mixed in to this poster. Courtesy of the friendly folks over at IGN, the new poster for THE EXPENDABLES passes on Photoshopped heads of its cast in favor of pretty cool imagery and the single surnames that make up the glorious cast.
Check it out:
If for nothing else, it’s great to see the name “Lundgren” on a poster for a movie you know is getting a theatrical release.
Epic.
THE EXPENDABLES hits theaters on August 13th.
‘The Expendables’ Banner and Teaser Poster… Semper Fi(ght)!

Lionsgate has released two pieces of art for the Sylvester Stallone-directed, everyone who is badass-acted actioner ‘The Expendables.’ Along with the pretty sweet banner you see above, they have also released this poster:

Not sure whose back that is. I can narrow it down by one by saying it’s not mine. Pretty sure it’s not anyone else who works for We Are Movie Geeks. That leaves about 3 billion possibilities for who it could be.
It’s a pretty cool poster, but it reminds me of the opening credits for “Sons of Anarchy.” What do you think?
‘The Expendables’ comes out on April 23rd, 2010.

‘The Expendables’ Gets an Explosive Behind-the-Scenes Clip

That shot better be at the tippy top of the poster for this movie. That’s all I’m saying.
Today, we bring you a nice, little clip of Sylvester Stallone directing ‘The Expendables.’Â It’s an entertaining clip in and of itself, and it features a nice, slo-mo shot of that pic we saw a few weeks back of Steve Austin and Eric Roberts jumping away from a giant fireball.
Check out the clip right here:

New, Official Pics from ‘The Expendables’

That right there is a hero shot if ever I saw one. Today, Ethelmae’s Blog, which, from what I hear, is the official blog of ‘The Expendables,’ released the first, official pics of the new awesomness from Sly Stallone.
That pic above is just a sampling of a much larger image. Check that, and the others out right here:

That second pic of Stallone and Statham just makes me want to end the world as soon as this film comes out, because there will be nothing greater afterwards. Statham even holds a Nikon menacingly, and I don’t know how.
Somehow, it slipped through my brain patterns that Steve Austin was even in this film, and you see him right there above jumping from an explosion hand-in-hand with Eric Roberts. Roberts is looking very Vince McMahon-ish, by the way. Strange.
‘The Expendables’ comes out on April 23rd, 2010. The world ends April 24th.
