Steelbook Watch: ‘A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints’

Like most movie geeks we collect DVD’s and that especially applies to limited edition’s, and one of the hottest trends right now are Steelbooks. What is a Steelbook you ask? Well it is special “metal” case packaging that takes the place of the typical dvd case. The artwork is printed on and the dvd’s are usually only put out as special features and typically limited/hard to find. So I thought I would profile Steelbook DVD’s as they are released, thus the new feature.

This week’s featured Steelbook release is ‘A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints’.

This new special edition version of ‘A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints’ was released Tuesday February 3rd and you can find it at most online retailers, and in some Best Buy’s. If you havent seen the movie already, it is a really great flick that flew under the radar, but won some awards at Sundance 2006. The film stars Robert Downey Jr, Shia LaBeouf, and Channing Tatum and “is a coming-of-age drama about a boy growing up in Astoria, N.Y., during the 1980s. As his friends end up dead, on drugs or in prison, he comes to believe he has been saved from their fate by various so-called saints

I loved this one and the Steelbook is definitely one that needs to be added to your collection! For you deal seekers, amazon currently has it listed at $11.49.
