New ‘Saw VI’ Poster Unveiled

They look like big, good, strong hands, don’t they? I always thought that’s what they were.

That classic line from ‘The Neverending Story’ is the first thing that comes to mind when I scope this new poster for ‘Saw VI,’ brought to us courtesy of Shock Till You Drop.  Probably not what director Kevin Greutert was intending.  Of course, if you look really closely, you’ll see Shawnee Smith’s name at the very end of the cast list, indicating this one is going to be flashback-heavy.

Don’t let the gloves fool you, either.  If past ‘Saw’ posters are any indication, there won’t be a central plot theme about loose, fitting mittens.

‘Saw VI’ hits our theaters on October 23rd.

The countdown has hit 0:00:00, and the teaser trailer for ‘Saw VI’ has come online.  It doesn’t really reveal much other than a few quick glimpses of some of the traps.

Here’s the teaser:

Also, for your viewing pleasure, is this R-rated clip of one of the traps.  If the past tells us anything, it’s that this is likely the opening scene of the film.  Enjoy that, as well:

‘Saw VI’ is set for release on October 23rd.

Judging from the posters released for all the other films in the ‘Saw’ franchise, this won’t be our only one-sheet before the film’s release.   However, today, we have our first look at the first poster for ‘Saw VI.’   It is certainly a different design than the motion poster we brought you a few days ago. Creepy ‘Saw VI’ Motion Poster Hits

Intense.   Graphic.   Twisted.   Mind-numbing.   Tedious.   These are some of the adjectives that have been used to describe the ‘Saw’ franchise thus far.   However, in the five films that have preceded ‘Saw VI,’ due out this coming October, I don’t think “creepy” has ever come up.   That is, until now. ‘Saw VI’ News Begins

Shawnee Smith’s Amanda will be returning to the ‘Saw’ franchise. Â  Apparently, much like Heroes or any good comic book, no one really dies in the ‘Saw’ films. Â  They just get relegated to flashbacks.

The news of her return comes from producer Mark Burg on the film’s official site. Â  Burg also states, “There are several new characters. Â  Also, this movie is a lot more violent than the previous five. Â  Lastly, we have traps that pit victims against each other like the opening of ‘Saw V’. Â  Could be the best script yet!” Continue reading ‘Saw VI’ News Begins

Yes, ‘Saw VI’ and the return of Elwes?

saw6elwes

It seems that the ‘Saw’ franchise may be out to set a new record, with hopes of becoming one of, if not THE longest running horror franchise in movie history. Granted, we’re currently only at five, but with a sixth on the way, who’s to say it won’t continue to surpass the classics like, ‘Friday the 13th’, ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ and ‘Halloween’? And, now that all three of those are being “rebooted” it’s not a stretch to foresee a ‘Saw’ reboot some years down the road… good grief!

Here’s a plot description for ‘Saw VI’ posted on Bloody Disgusting:

One man. One plan. One foot. Yes, the doctor is in! With a strange twist of fate and a revengeful plot, get ready for the most anticipated event of Saw. Face your fears at his operating table. Know that no one is safe from his sickness. Chills and screams are his true pleasure. on…and Blood? You’ll be drenched in it.

Anywho, BD.com has reported that a possible casting rumor may have surfaced by way of XBox Live. The word is that Cary Elwes may be returning in the role of Dr. Gordon in the coming video game, and possibly even in the movie. If any of this is true, his role in the movie may be nothing more than a cameo, but that’s cool.
