Watch a scene from Ong Bak 3 here:

Synopsis: Martial arts legend Tony Jaa writes, directs, produces and stars in ONG BAK 3, the third and final installment in one of the most beloved action series of all time. Picking up at the cliffhanger ending where Ong Bak 2 leaves off, Jaa ramps up the epic supernatural elements of the previous film, while still maintaining the trademark bone-crunching action that the series is known for. This time he must face his ultimate enemy: a fierce supernatural warrior named “Demon Crow,” played by fellow martial arts sensation Dan Chupong (Dynamite Warrior). Eagerly anticipated by martial arts aficionados for some time, the matchup of Jaa and Chupong is explosive.

ONG BAK 3 premieres Friday December 3 on VOD, Amazon.com, Xbox Marketplace, Playstation Network; opens in theaters January 14, 2010.

ONG BAK 3 Trailer Flies Like a Knee to the Face

I remember this time last year prepping myself for South by Southwest 2009 and the presentation of Tony Jaa’s ONG BAK 2, the film that A) completely drove Jaa insane and B) had absolutely nothing to do with ONG BAK minus flying knees and elbows that caused mass amounts of brain damage.

Now, Jaa is flinging those appendages again for ONG BAK 3.   While it still appears to have nothing to do with the first ONG BAK, the new trailer, courtesy of Twitch, indicates it might be a direct sequel to last year’s sequel/prequel/I’m completely confused now.

Check it out:

Never again will I say Jaa doesn’t know how to use an elephant’s tusk to his advantage.   I never said that before, but I damn sure won’t now.

ONG BAK 3 hits theaters in Thailand in April.   No word on when we might be seeing it in the states.
