In May, Deadline had the exclusive on Liman and Tom Cruise re-teaming for a new project:

Doug Liman will boldly go where no film director has gone before. Liman plans to accompany Tom Cruise on the action adventure film to be shot in outer space that is being mounted independently (for now) and involves Elon Musk’s Space X and NASA. Liman, who directed Cruise on the movies American Made and Edge of Tomorrow, and who separately directed such hits as Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Bourne Identity, Go and Swingers, is eager to re-team on this first of its kind project.

Shady Records/Interscope Records will release the SOUTHPAW soundtrack (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture). The album – which will feature new songs created for and inspired by the film and more – will be released this July. Shady Records founder Eminem also serves as the album’s executive producer.

The DJ Khalil produced first single from the soundtrack, Eminem’s “Phenomenal,” appears in the trailer of the new movie. Catch it on iTunes
