Trailer for ‘Blood and Bone’

bloodandbonetrailer

I got an email last night about a trailer starring Michael Jai White and Kimbo Slice, and immediately had to check this out. Those 2 dudes in the same movie had to of created some type of ripple effect in the time continuum. You can check out the SMALL role of Kimbo Slice, and the ultra ass kicking that Michael Jai White is handing out in this trailer! Lets also mention that it features a role from Dante Basco, aka RUFIO!

Here is the synopsis for your reading pleasure:

Ex-con Isaiah Bone (Michael Jai White, Spawn & Black Dynamite) is the new force in LA’s underground street fighting scene.   When he takes down the reigning champ, the local mob boss wants to enter Bone in a series of high-stakes international matches.     Bone’s refusal sets off an explosive showdown between two powerful enemies with everything at stake.

Blood and Bone is directed by Ben Ramsey (Dragonball: Evolution) from a screenplay by Michael Andrews (Dunsmore). Christopher Eberts (Outlander, Half Past Dead), Arnold Rifkin (Live Free or Die Hard) and Todd Traina serve as executive producers. The film was produced by Nick Simunek, Matthew Binns and Michael Mailer.

I can forgive this movie for being a direct to DVD simply on the fact that Jai White looks incredible in it!

Fantasy Cast: Who Should Play The Duke in the ‘Escape From New York’ Remake?

Basically, when you’re talking about someone playing The Duke of New York, you’re talking about someone playing Isaac Hayes.   He was the embodiment of that character, and he really didn’t seem to be channelling anything other than his own, cool presence.   You could just as easily be asking who should be playing Isaac Hayes in a biopic of the musician’s life. Michael Jai White and Sony bring ‘Blood and Bone’

With Sundance just about to hit Park City, Sony snatched up the North American rights to the undergrund fighting drama ‘Blood and Bone’ starring Michael Jai White. The film was directed by Ben Ramsey (Love and a Bullet) and the cast includes Eamonn Walker, Julian Sands, Nona Gay and Kimbo Slice.

Story centers on an ex-con (Michael Jai White) who takes the underground fighting world by storm in his quest to fulfill a promise to a dead friend. Michael Andrews penned the screenplay.

Sure, the story sounds a bit like ‘Bloodsport’ but I think it may still have something to look forward to… that something is Michael Jai White. After all, White is a bad ass who actually knows, and practices multiple martial arts — Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, Kobuo, Goju Ryu, Tang Soo Do, Wushu and Kyokushin. Yeah, you tell him his movie sucks…

Kimbo Slice and Hulk Hogan are ‘Kung Fu U’

Hulk Hogan (former Wrestler), and Kimbo Slice (legitimate fighter) are teaming up for a kids flick called ‘Kung Fu U’. This is a BAD idea… super bad idea.

Hulk Hogan has done other movies, and they were all pretty bad. I think this is enough to really sink his already battered image after his tv show, his son’s reckless driving, his divorce..and now a crappy kids TV movie? Yikes man.

Stereo Vision Entertainment, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSN), a film production company focused exclusively on developing high quality, low cost, polarized 3D feature films, announced today that the undefeated Mixed Martial Arts phenomenon, Kimbo Slice, will be co-starring with Hulk Hogan in Stereo Vision’s hilarious kids’ comedy “Kung Fu U” in 3D.

“Kung Fu U” in 3D is a Disney-type comedy about of a bunch of nerds and misfits that are sent away by their wealthy parents to the Brentwood Academy (a.k.a. Kung Fu U) to learn the finer arts of self-defense. It’s a heart-warming romp where the rather weathered warriors come to the rescue for the kids, and in turn, the kids rescue the warriors seemingly lost souls from what had been their eternal apathy. It’s a feel-good story that reminds us that we’re all the same, no matter what our age, or where we came from, and that we should all stick together.

Stereo Vision’s Chairman, “Baywatch” creator Doug Schwartz, stated, “We’re very happy to have Kimbo Slice co-starring in ‘Kung Fu U.’ He has an enormous media presence, and he’ll fit right in with our star Hulk Hogan, and the other cast members in our made for kids 3D movie. We hope to have ‘Kung Fu U’ in 3D in theatres by the fall of ’09.””
