UPDATED – First Look: Brandon Routh as Dylan Dog in ‘Dead of Night’

dead-of-night

For the past two days, I’ve had to read Twitter updates from one Devin Faraci, among others, about how much fun he was having on the set of ‘Dead of Night.’   He was made up like a zombie.   He was caked with mud.   You know.   Fun stuff.

Luckily for the rest of us, he brought back a gift.   Above, you’ll see the first pic of Brandon Routh as Dylan Dog, the detective who fends off all kinds of nasty creatures including zombies, Draculas, Wolfman…s, etc.   He’s holding a pretty sweet looking revolver on Sam Huntington, who is playing Marcus, his sidekick.   Looks like there’s some kind of dispute between the two here.

‘Dead of Night,’ directed by Kevin Munroe (‘TMNT’), is currently shooting in New Orleans and is set for release later this year.

UPDATE

More images have popped up around the net from the film.   Check ’em all out right here:

Taye Diggs Set as ‘Dead of Night’ Villain

taye-diggs

Taye Diggs has got to be one of the coolest guys on the planet. Â  ‘Go.’ Â  ‘House on Haunted Hill.’ Â  ‘The Way of the Gun.’ Â  ‘Equilibrium.’ Â  The guy has picked some pretty sweet projects to put on his resume. Â  Okay, we’ll forgive him for ‘Rent’ and ‘Malibu’s Most Wanted.’ Â  For now!

Diggs has just signed on as the lead vampire in ‘Dead of Night,’ the feature film adaptation of the comic book about supernatural investigator Dylan Dog. Â  Brandon Routh is set to star as Dog with Sam Huntington as Dog’s sidekick. Â  Kevin Munroe (‘TMNT’) is helming.
