First Approved Myers Pic From ‘H2’

h2-trailer-still21

We have brought you several dozens of pictures from Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ follow-up.   However, today we bring you the first, official, approved, 100% studio-friendly pic of Mr. Michael Myers.

Check it out:

Surprisingly, this pic gives away a lot of detail about Myers’ new look in the film.   That mask is pretty jacked up and is starting to look more like Leatherface than The Shape.

What do you think?   Does this new look for Myers satisfy your ‘Halloween’ cravings?   What are your overall thoughts on ‘H2’?   Do you think, looking ahead, Zombie has any plans for ‘H3’?   Let us know by commenting below!

First Footage of ‘H2′ and Pic of Myers’ New Look

h22

For those of you expecting to see the first teaser trailer for Rob Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ follow-up this past weekend in front of ‘Crank: High Voltage,’ I only say, “You should’a moved to the coast.”   That teaser was in front of prints that were only shipped to New York and Los Angeles.   However, Entertainment Tonight came through for us.

In this video, we get the ET clip, but then we also get a slo-mo version of the shot where we see Michael’s new mask.

Check it out:

Personally, I’m not digging on the hood all that much.   I absolutely love the shots of Michael in the shadows walking down the stairwell.   Very reminiscent of the original ‘Halloween II.’

Here’s also a nice still of Michael with hood-action included:

First Look at New Michael Myers Mask

h22

Filming wrapped last week on Rob Zombie’s sequel to ‘Halloween,’ and, as a gift to all us fans (and a curse to those who aren’t, I guess), he has released this first, official look at Michael Myers, new mask and all.

Check it out:

Not really sure what to make of this mask.   Since they are revealing it this early in post-production, I’m assuming this is one of the masks we will be seeing a lot of throughout the film.   However, this looks like something that should have been kept under wraps until we see it at the end of the film.

Of course, that could still be the case, and Zombie just decided to release it to the public early.   Either way, we will find out for sure on August 28th when ‘H2’ comes out.   And, be sure to check out ‘Crank: High Voltage’ this coming weekend where the first trailer for ‘H2’ is slated to debut.

Michael Myers to be Sans Mask for Most of ‘H2’

h22

Hey, everybody.   Remember this pic?

h2-myers-mask

When we first showed you this pic, I told you that I had my doubts as to how much what we see here was going to play into the film.   Zombie even came out and said Tyler Mane could hide the beard within the jumpsuit and behind the mask.

Well, today the truth comes out.   Ryan Rotten of Shock Till You Drop is currently doing a set report on ‘H2,’ filming in Georgia.   He spoke with makeup effect artist, Wayne Toth, and Toth had this to say:

“That’s Michael’s new look for a lot of the film. Fans will be shocked. They seem pretty responsive to it. But it’s like anything else, as long as you’re doing something cool, people get it.”

Evidently, ‘H2’ picks up two years after the events in Zombie’s first ‘Halloween.’   Michael has been living the life of a mountain man.   This is no joke.

Toth continued:

“There are a couple different versions of the mask, but none of them are the same mask from the first film. He wanted to take them a step further, even though one of them is basically supposed to be the last mask. We’ve changed it anyway. Then towards the end of the film is the current version of the mask which is a lot different from any of them we’ve seen. People are going to be surprised when they see it. It’s going to thrown the Myers fans for a loop.”

Of course, we will probably get our first glimpse of those new masks in the next couple of weeks, as the teaser for ‘H2’ is scheduled to be attached to printed of ‘Crank: High Voltage’ hitting theaters on April 17th.

This is all just more weird news from an already weird-sounding film.   My faith in Zombie and in the ‘Halloween’ franchise is holding, but it is getting more and more difficult with each new piece of information.

Rob Zombie blogs again… young Michael Myers

chase

Rob Zombie seems to be updating his blog everyday with new stuff from ‘H2’ and today is no different. Today we get the first image of young Michael Myers played by Chase Vanek. The kid looks alot like Daeg Faerch from the first ‘Halloween’ flick Zombie did. Faerch couldnt come back to play the character since he has aged from the filming of the first one, so Zombie was forced to recast the role.

Looks pretty creepy eh? Not as creepy as Daeg but still pretty creepy.

New ‘H2’ photos hit the web

Rob Zombie updated his myspace and included some pretty badass new information for the upcoming ‘H2’. First we will hopefully be seeing Sid Haig and Bill Mosely reprising their roles in ‘H2’ at some point with the addition of this image:

There isnt very much info out there on the Uncle Seymour Coffins character but he will fit into ‘H2’ somehow. Here is a flyer for a party that Uncle Coffins is hosting called Phantom Jam happening on October 31st:

A Number of Updates and Photos on ‘H2’

I love it when one piece of new information unfolds a whole slew of new stuff. Â  So it goes with the new ‘H2’ still Rob Zombie posted on his Myspace page. Â  The latest pic is this one right here:

h2-michael-walk

That is evidently the silhouette of one Michael Myers as he stalks the streets of Haddonfield searching for his sister, Laurie Strode. Â  Not sure if he is carrying the mask in his hand or if he’s wearing a heavy coat, but it does look like he’s got more on than just the mechanic’s overalls.

Anyway, also looking on his Myspace, I came across these other stills and information from the film. Â   Continue reading A Number of Updates and Photos on ‘H2’

Weird ‘H2’ Set Pics, Weird ‘H2’ News, ‘H2’ is Going to Be Weird

h22

Week 1 of filming is done on Rob Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ follow-up, tentatively titled ‘H2’.   Still not sold on that title, but that’s not the weirdest thing about this film.

Check out these set pics courtesy of Shock Till You Drop:

That first pic really has me scratching my bald head.   Is that Tyler Mane in white-face and a Grizzly Adams-esque beard?   Not too sure what Zombie is going for with this look.   Hopefully this really doesn’t have much to do with the actual film, and we’re reading too much into the picture.

In other weird news, actor Daeg Faerch, who played the young Michael Myers in Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ has stated on his blog that he will not be in the film.   Note, young Michael Myers will be in the film, it just won’t be played by Faerch.

“Although I was contracted to reprise the role of young Michael Myers in the upcoming H2 after filming briefly on the set in GA, I am to be recast due to my increased height.”

‘Halloween’ wasn’t the best redux of the franchise that could have been made, but this sequel is just getting weirder and weirder.   We’ll have to wait and see if Zombie can pull this one out.

First Look: Rob Zombie’s ‘H2’

h22

As promised on his Myspace page, Rob Zombie has released the first production photo from his sequel to ‘Halloween’ tentatively titled ‘H2’.

Check it out:

Apparently, what we are looking at is Scout Taylor-Compton’s Laurie Strode on he operating table mere minutes after her horrifying encounter with Michael Myers at the end of ‘Halloween’.

As Zombie notes on his blog: “Well, we made it through the first three days. Everything is going great. This film is going to blow away my last trip to Haddonfield. Ultra gritty, ultra intense and very real. Here is a sneak peek of Laurie moments after being wheeled in to the ER.”

‘H2’ looks to slash its way into theaters on August 28th.
