FRANKENWEENIE Comic-Con Homage Trailer – In Theaters October 5

As a tribute the classic horror films that inspired Tim Burton to make Frankenweenie, watch the new FRANKENWEENIE Homage trailer which was debuted exclusively at Comic-Con. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Some fun facts about the film. Did you know when Tim Burton originally conceived the idea for “Frankenweenie,” he envisioned it as a full-length, stop-motion animated film? Due to budget constraints, he instead directed it as a live-action short, released in 1984.“Frankenweenie” follows in the footsteps of Tim Burton’s other stop-motion animated films “Corpse Bride” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”- both of which were nominated for Academy Awards®. Over 200 puppets and sets were created for the film and several of the character names – Victor, Elsa Van Helsing, Edgar “E” Gore and Mr. Burgemeister – were inspired by classic horror films.

A stop-motion animated film, FRANKENWEENIE was filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D. The talented voice cast includes many Burton alums – Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Winona Ryder.

Presented by Disney, FRANKENWEENIE is directed by Tim Burton, produced by Tim Burton and Allison Abbate, from a screenplay by John August, based on an original idea by Tim Burton. FRANKENWEENIEreleases in U.S. theaters on October 5, 2012.

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL Trailer Debuts – In Theaters March 8

Watch the brand new trailer for OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL that played in Hall-H at San Diego Comic-con. Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

GOATS Trailer Starring David Duchovny, Vera Farmiga & Ty Burrell – In Theaters August 10

Watch the new trailer for GOATS from Image Entertainment. In theaters August 10, the film stars David Duchovny, Vera Farmiga, Graham Phillips, Justin Kirk, Ty Burrell, Keri Russell, Anthony Anderson, and Dakota Johnson. Produced by Red Crown Productions and Sandia Media in association with Eva Daniels Productions, GOATS premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

In GOATS, Ellis (Graham Phillips) is the most adult member of his eccentric family at 15 years old. His mom (Vera Farmiga) is a New Age hippie that spends all of her time working on self-help rituals with her hustler boyfriend (Justin Kirk). His dad (Ty Burrell) left home years ago and is more focused on his new wife (Keri Russell) and family.  And then there’s Goat Man (David Duchovny), the goat-herding sage who has lived in their pool house since Ellis was a child, teaching him the meaning of stability, commitment, and expanding one’s mind.

When Ellis decides to leave Tucson to go to the same East Coast prep school that his father went to, he easily assimilates to his new environment – even gaining the attention of a local girl (Dakota Johnson). But as he re‐connects with his estranged father, he finds Goat Man’s influence and his life out West thrown into stark contrast.

Based on Mark Jude Poirier’s best-selling novel, director Christopher Neil’s hilarious and poignant film is a witty reversal of the coming of age formula, a beautifully honest portrayal of life with its rough edges, awkward moments, and non-endings.

Robert Pattinson Stars In New COSMOPOLIS Trailer – In U.S. Theaters August 17

Watch the brand new trailer for David Cronenberg’s COSMOPOLIS. It had its World Premiere at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival where it played in Competition and was nominated for the Palme d’Or. (Michael Haneke’s AMOUR won). The movie stars Robert Pattinson, Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Kevin Durand, Samantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric, Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire and Patricia Mckenzie.

COSMOPOLIS is an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s story about a 28 year-old billionaire who crosses Manhattan for a haircut. New York City, not-too-distant-future: Eric Packer, a 28 year-old finance golden boy dreaming of living in a civilization ahead of this one, watches a dark shadow cast over the firmament of the Wall Street galaxy, of which he is the uncontested king. Eric Packer is losing his empire with every tick of the clock. Meanwhile, an eruption of wild activity unfolds in the city’s streets. DreamWorks Animation’s RISE OF THE GUARDIANS Trailer 2 – In Theaters November 21st

FOR A GOOD TIME, CALL…Green Band Trailer

Love and friendship are on the line in this trailer FOR A GOOD TIME, CALL…, directed by Jamie Travis from an original screenplay by Katie Anne Naylon & Lauren Anne Miller. The contemporary comedy world-premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, lifting audiences to their feet and lifting their spirits. Two young women come up short on the funds needed to live in New York City. Lauren Powell (played by Ms. Miller), a reserved overachiever, is suddenly on her own after boyfriend Charlie (James Wolk) abruptly breaks up with her. Katie Steele (Ms. Graynor), an irrepressible free spirit, is about to forfeit a dream residence unless she finds an apartment-mate. Their mutual best friend Jesse (Justin Long) has the bright idea that they room together, even though he well knows that they are polar opposites who haven’t spoken since they met in college and then fell out within minutes. When Lauren and Katie meet up anew at Jesse’s behest, they’re still an at-odds couple…but, without options, Lauren reluctantly moves in. With nothing in common, she and Katie barely speak – until Lauren discovers that Katie is working as a phone-sex operator. This is, Lauren reasons, a good business opportunity; together, they will buy a land line and start up their own answering service. Katie is – it would seem – already in her element, and Lauren catches on quick; it’s not long before the blushing subsides and the candid chatting becomes second nature to her. It’s a long, hot summer for the newly minted team and their callers; Lauren puts her job hunt on hold while Katie considers the courtship ministrations of caller Sean (Mark Webber). But as their business partnership takes off, Lauren and Katie’s newfound friendship finds unexpected challenges that may leave them both, as they say, hanging on the telephone.

JACK REACHER International Trailer Stars Tom Cruise – In Theaters Dec. 21

A first international trailer for director Christopher McQuarrie’s JACK REACHER has appeared online. Starring Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, the film is from Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions.

In an innocent heartland city, five are shot dead by an expert sniper. The police quickly identify and arrest the culprit, and build a slam-dunk case. But the accused man claims he’s innocent and says “Get Jack Reacher.”. Reacher himself sees the news report and turns up in the city. The defense are immensely relived; but Reacher has come to bury the guy. Shocked at the accused’s request, Reacher sets out to confirm for himself the absolute certainty of the man’s guilt, but comes up with more than he bargained for.

From the novel by Lee Child, the film also features Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, and Robert Duvall. JACK REACHER will be in theaters December 21, 2012.

THE AWAKENING Trailer Debuts; Stars Rebecca Hall And Dominic West

Check out the spooky trailer for director Nick Murphy’s THE AWAKENING.

THE AWAKENING is the brand new supernatural thriller starring Rebecca Hall (The Town, the upcoming Iron Man 3) and Dominic West (HBO’s The Wire). Set in London in 1921, Florence Cathcart (Hall), author of the popular book “Seeing Through Ghosts,” has devoted her career to exposing claims of the supernatural as nothing but hoaxes. Haunted by the recent death of her fiancé, she is approached by Robert Mallory (West) to investigate the recent death of a student at the all-boys boarding school where he teaches. When students at the school report sightings of the young boy’s ghost, she decides to take on the case. Initially, the mystery surrounding the ghost appears nothing more than a schoolboy prank, but as Florence continues to investigate events at the school, she begins to believe that her reliance on science may not be enough to explain the strange phenomenon going on around her.

The film will be in theaters August 17.
