Cinematical just got to premier the poster for the upcoming doc about Lebron James’ St. Vincent-St. Mary High School varsity basketball team. The story isnt just about Lebron, but focuses on all the players and the coach, from what we have heard it is a great documentary. Go visit Cinematical because I am certain they will get more from this movie soon..

Trailer for Kathryn Bigelow’s ‘The Hurt Locker’

When I tell you that ‘The Hurt Locker’ is an amazing, intense film that will make your gut wrench I am not doing the movie justice. We got to see this movie at SXSW this year and it blew us away, you can read the review here. Jeremy Renner gives an amazing performance in the film and really puts him on the radar in my opinion. Magnolia picks up ‘Worlds Greatest Dad’

All I can say is its about time someone stepped up to the plate and bought the distribution rights to this film. Although one of the craziest movies I saw at ‘Sundance’ it was a very beautiful film and really makes you wonder how you would react in a similar situation.

Bobcat Goldthwait called me yesterday with some exciting news: Magnolia Pictures has picked up his outlandish Robin Williams comedy “World’s Greatest Dad,” a delightfully raunchy and subversive work that served as my guilty pleasure earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Goldthwait said that Magnolia will release the film on VOD prior to a theatrical release in late August, following a model the company employed most recently with the Joaquim Phoenix drama “Two Lovers.”

Let me tell you that this film is worth seeing, especially if you can get it VOD because I dont know how wide of a release it will see. Check out my review here and prepare yourself to be shaken up.

New clip from ‘Star Trek’ hits

A pretty cool new clip has hit the web from ‘Star Trek’ and so it begins. From here on out we wont be able to log on to the web without a new clip, and by the end we might be able to scrape together 35 minutes of footage, just like ‘Watchmen’ but we will see. Check it out below:

Do your part to bring the World Premiere of ‘Wolverine’ to St. Louis

That’s right boys and girls, we all have the power to bring the world premiere of ‘XMen Origins: Wolverine’ to St Louis, and yes that includes Hugh Jackman. All we have to do is get everyone we know to log on and submit that we want it to come to St Louis.

If St Louis gets the most votes then we are in! DO IT NOW so that we can all see the movie before the rest of the world(or at least most of it now that it “leaked”)
