Samuel L. Jackson has played some outstanding characters in the past: Shaft, Mace Windu and Nick Fury. Now he is trying on the voice of the people. In a recent interview with shobizspy, Jackson voiced his opinion on PG films containing strippers. Jackson said” Strippers who don’t strip..suck!”He was referencing a scene in his new film ‘Lakeview Terrace’ that has a bachelor party with three ladies who dance but remain fully clothed. Jackson added, “But this is a PG movie (actually PG-13 Sam), so there aren’t any titties. We have three strippers at this party but none of them takes their top off.” Jackson went on to add “How does that work? I’m like, come on! You could show the girl from the back, with her back bare. At least it gives a sense that she was naked. You can’t just show them in their bras and panties. You have forty drunken cops in a house with three strippers? And nobody is naked? I don’t f***ing think so!†. My thoughts exactly!!!!  Samuel L. Jackson …Voice of the People, well at least this geek. If you have a stripper, sex scene or streaker and you have full frontal..it’s an R, but if you need the PG rating for the studio have the back-door camera shoot from behind and squeak out the PG-13 rating. No more bikini beach parties.  And before you women out there start waving signs, let me remind you about Eastern Promises and ‘Forgeting Sarah Marshall’… Viggo and Jason had their prize possessions hanging out for the world to see..so the same rules apply to the guys. ‘Lakeview Terrace’ actually shows a few butts in it, Sam just failed to comment on that.

Ben Stiller and the boys from “Tropic Thunder” celebrated the Labor Day Weekend by Remaining No. 1 at the box office holding off Vin Diesel’s Sci-Fi action picture “Babylon A.D.” Also opening with less than stellar numbers was “Traitor” at fifth overall. Disaster movie was just that..a disaster barely managing 6 million over the 4 day holiday weekend. Maybe this is a clue that we are done with the spoof flicks! Here is how the rest fared:

 2. Babylon A.D.                               $12,000,000

Hey Stan Lee: Vin Diesel Wants His Turn at Being The Bad Guy!
Vin Diesel is asking to be the next Marvel Bad-Ass villain. It is strange that the action-movie superstar hasn’t shown up in one of these yet…hell they used Dolph (for you Scott). He is focused on the villain and wants the movie to be about him, like the upcoming Magneto film. I think Diesel would be great wielding Thor’s hammer, but he is follicularly challenged (he will need a wig). OK, you guys arew the casting department…which super-baddie should Riddick play? He has to be in the Marvel Universe and be well known and interesting enough to carry his own film. Who is Vin going to be????
You Can Be In ‘Spiderman 4’ !!!

Production hasn’t even started yet and Sony is teaming up with The Stand Up to Cancer Organization to offer one lucky movie fanatic the opportunity of a lifetime, a walk on role in Spideman 4. The auction is currently running on EBay and will close on September 5TH at 7 P.M. PDT. The package reads as follows:
‘Australia’ Gets a New U.S. Release date!
I guess it is the new hip thing in 2008, push back your release date. Thanks WB and little Harry Potter, see what you started! Luckily we only have to wait a few weeks longer for the Baz Luhrmann’s new epic instead of months for the sorcerer’s apprentice. Fox is moving Australia from its original release date of November 14th (Two days after it opens in Australia) to November 26th. It will maximize on the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend Box-office Blitz. It also wrecks my shopping spree, I will have to take a three hour break to catch the film! All kidding aside Fox is reporting the reason for the Move is Baz is still tweaking the film and just needs a little longer to finish it. I say take you time and I can’t wait to see the finished product!
‘The Strangers’ … Part 2 ????
Rogue Pictures has just announced it has green-lighted a sequel to their summer hit “The Strangers”. Liv Tyler..well ..lives and is scheduled to return for the next installment. The three unknown villains will be back and we might find out where they went next. Bryan Bertino will also return to pen the sequel. The original was soooo creepy just for the fact that you never see the villain’s face. They could be anyone. Also the crimes are completely random. So it could happen to anyone or anytime… maybe even you! Production is slated to begin the first part of 2009.Â
Event: ‘Mamma Mia!’ The Sing-A-Long!
You have heard the phrase “sing for your supper”, they took this to heart in St.Louis on Wednesday night. The crowd at Wehrenberg’s Ronnies 20 Cine’ were treated to a free screening of “Mamma Mia: The Movie”, but they had to sing! The evening was hosted by local DJ David Craig from KEZK 102 FM and the feather boas were flowing in the seats. Timeless classics by ABBA rang out in the sold out theater from Dancing Queen, S.O.S., Super-Trooper,Winner Takes it All to the title track Mama Mia. Prior to the film, a group of brave souls, male and female from 4 to 44 stood in front of the crowd for an acapella version of Dancing Queen. A fun time was had by all. Check out the pictures below to see the newest crop of talent auditioning for their spot in ABBA! they even managed to wrap up me… the Ram man in a boa for the event. We reviewed the film back in July when it was released and gave it 3.5/5 stars. if you like the play, love the music..you will enjoy the movie!
Review: ‘Heroes, Season 2’ on DVD
I never get excited about Tuesday. It’s usually the “second” Monday of the week. There is no football, and unless I’m off work on Wedensday… Tuesday is just another day. That was the case until TODAY! Heroes Season 2 has just been released on DVD! This is the best show currently in production on TV! Universal has timed this release so that you the fans can catch back up with Hiro, Claire and Peter before Season 3: Villains begins on September 22nd on NBC.
Those of you that have never seen or heard of this… imagine if ‘X-Men’ were true. There were people like you and me that have gifts they are genetically born with. Like a cheerleader that is indestructible or a Japanese office worker who can travel through time. But there are also the ones who use their powers to hurt and kill. This is the premise of the TV series “Heroes” A group of people with special abilities hiding from the government and scientist that would cage them and the villains that would kill them and take their powers. Those of you thinking this is just another comic book hit the TV…this ain’t Smallville! Heroes is well written and superbly acted. Season 2, subtitled “Generations” finds all of our “Heroes” four years following Peter’s nuclear meltdown. HRG, Claire and the rest of the Bennett’s have relocated in California under a new name. Hero has travelled back to ancient Japan and met Kensei and now must correct the past before returning to the future. Peter Petrelli wakes up in Ireland in a cargo container with no memories of who or what he is. Nathan is gone. And Sylar is powerless and stuck in Mexico. But he meets a set of twins that can remedy his situation. This is just the cliff notes on eleven wonderful hours of television.
Now for all you “Heroes” fanatic like myself and Travis… I am telling you to go out and buy… not rent, no borrowing..buy the DVD of season 2 for two awesome reasons! 1. There is an alternate ending for episode 11 “Powerless”that has mysterious virus wiping out the city of Odessa, Texas with Parkman and the Petrelli brothers trying to stop it. You also get an extended look at Season 3: Villains. Villains will feature and new rogues gallery of bad guys and girls. Our buddy Sylar is back and has Claire in his sights again! This show gets better andbetter every year!I also found out that the working title of Season 4 is “Fugitives” , Tim Kring gave a crowd at the Edinburgh TV Festival the scoop on the title which will take place during the first 13 episodes of season 3 and “Fugitives” will run another 12 episodes after that.
If you aren’t lucky enough to have Season one already on DVD, Best Buy and Amazon.com are offering special package deals for seasons 1 &2 that will save you about $40-$50 . It’s a three day weekend with no Rams football, so Ram Man is going to plant himself in front of the 62″ HD big screen TV and start with episode 1 and I’m not moving until I have seen every episode alternate ending and the most excellent preview of season 3: Villains. Who’s with me!!!!!!!
‘Transformers 2’ Shia La “BUFF”

It seems they have written the hand injury sustained by actor Shia LaBeouf earlier this summer into the script of Transformers 2:Rise of the Fallen. In the pictures above you can see the splint on LaBeouf’s hand and make up all over his chest to simulate burns and gashes..like he was in a car accident???? Looks like our boy Sam Witwicky takes a beating in the sequel. We are still waiting on the Megan Fox photos from the set. Transformers 2:Rise of the Fallen is still set to be released on June 26Th, 2009.
