Check Out The First Poster For Christopher Nolan’s DUNKIRK

Warner Bros. has released the first official poster for Christopher Nolan’s epic action thriller, DUNKIRK, which arrives in cinemas July 21st 2017.

DUNKIRK features a prestigious cast, including Tom Hardy (“The Revenant,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Inception”), Mark Rylance (“Bridge of Spies,” “Wolf Hall”), Kenneth Branagh (“My Week with Marilyn,” “Hamlet,” “Henry V”) and Cillian Murphy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead. The ensemble cast also includes Harry Styles (One Direction) making his feature film debut.

Christopher Nolan (“Interstellar,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy) is directing DUNKIRK from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen.

DUNKIRK opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.

2017 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS Announced

Nominees for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning from The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Two-time Golden Globe Award winner Don Cheadle, three-time Golden Globe Award winner Laura Dern and Golden Globe Award nominee Anna Kendrick joined the previously announced Miss Golden Globe trio, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet Stallone; Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) President, Lorenzo Soria; and Executive VP of Television at dick clark productions, Barry Adelman, in announcing the nominees in 25 categories spanning motion picture and television.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5-8PM PT/8-11PM ET from the Beverly Hilton Hotel with host Jimmy Fallon. Previously announced, eight-time Golden Globe-winner Meryl Streep will be the recipient of the 2017 Cecil B. DeMille Award. Produced by dick clark productions in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 236 countries worldwide and are one of the few awards ceremonies to include both motion picture and television achievements.

20th Century Fox has debuted the first trailer and poster for WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES.

Check out the first trailer for director Matt Reeves latest film coming out this summer, just a year shy of a big anniversary for the beloved franchise.

The first film, PLANET OF THE APES, starring Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter, Maurice Evans, James Whitmore, James Daly and Linda Harrison, was released on February 8, 1968.

In the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

American Hero And Astronaut John Glenn Dies at 95

“The Beatles were eight months away from releasing their first single, “Love Me Do,” when John Glenn rocketed into space on Feb. 20, 1962, to become the first American to orbit Earth.

The flight set NASA on course to meet ever-more ambitious goals. Glenn’s three orbits in five hours was eclipsed on the next flight and each one afterward steadily pushed Americans further out from the cradle of Earth, ultimately leading to a series of landings on the moon from 1969 to 1972.

“The whole program shifted rapidly from, ‘Can we do this?’ to basic research,” Glenn told a packed press conference conducted among the displays and consoles that made up Cape Canaveral’s Mercury control center.” – NASA

Former astronaut and U.S. Senator John Glenn died Thursday at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Glenn, who served four terms as a U.S. senator from Ohio, was one of NASA’s original seven Mercury astronauts. His flight on Friendship 7 on Feb. 20, 1962, showed the world that America was a serious contender in the space race with the Soviet Union. It also made Glenn an instant hero.

Astronaut John Glenn inspects artwork that will be painted on the outside of his Mercury spacecraft, which he nicknamed Friendship 7. On Feb. 20, 1962, Glenn lifted off into space aboard his Mercury Atlas (MA-6) rocket to become the first American to orbit the Earth. After orbiting the Earth 3 times, Friendship 7 landed in the Atlantic Ocean, just East of Grand Turk Island in the Bahamas. Glenn and his capsule were recovered by the Navy Destroyer Noa, 21 minutes after splashdown.

In 1998, Glenn flew on the STS-95 Discovery shuttle flight, a 9-day mission during which the crew supported a variety of research payloads including deployment of the Spartan solar-observing spacecraft, the Hubble Space Telescope Orbital Systems Test Platform, and Glenn’s investigations on space flight and the aging process.

John Glenn also ran for the 1984 Democratic presidential nomination, a year after the 1983 release of The Right Stuff.

Watch The Emotional First US Trailer For Amma Asante’s A UNITED KINGDOM

Watch the first US trailer for A UNITED KINGDOM, directed by Amma Asante (BELLE) and written by Guy Hibbert (EYE IN THE SKY). The film stars David Oyelowo (SELMA) and Rosamund Pike (GONE GIRL).

A UNITED KINGDOM is the true story of the forbidden love of King Seretse Khama of Botswana (David Oyelowo) and Ruth Williams (Rosamund Pike), a white woman from London, which caused an international uproar when they decided to marry in the late 1940s just as apartheid was being introduced into South Africa. It was a decision that altered the course of African history.

A UNITED KINGDOM is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2017.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and opened in UK cinemas in November.

In their TIFF review, Hey U Guys’ Stefan Pape wrote, “the film looks remarkable, and much like Asante’s preceding picture Belle, there’s an indelible charm and striking aesthetic that makes for such absorbing cinema.”

When the film was acquired by Fox Searchlight Pictures, director Asante said, “After such a wonderful experience working together on BELLE, I am thrilled to be reuniting with the Fox Searchlight team for A UNITED KINGDOM. They are the perfect partners to help tell the story of King Seretse Khama and Ruth Williams and to expose audiences to their enduring love.”

The film is produced by Richard McCallum, Oyelowo, Brunson Green, Peter Heslop, Justin Moore-Lewy and Charlie Mason. The score is from composer Patrick Doyle.

The new trailer for FIFTY SHADES DARKER has debuted. The film opens February 10, 2017.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Darker, the second chapter based on the worldwide bestselling “Fifty Shades” phenomenon. Expanding upon events set in motion in 2015’s blockbuster film that grossed more than $560 million globally, the new installment arrives for Valentine’s Day and invites you to slip into something a shade darker.

When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. Michael Keaton Stars In New Trailer For THE FOUNDER

The Weinstein Co. has released a second trailer for their upcoming film THE FOUNDER. Check it out now.

Directed by John Lee Hancock (SAVING MR. BANKS), THE FOUNDER features the true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a struggling salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California.

Kroc was impressed by the brothers’ speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. Writer Robert Siegel (THE WRESTLER) details how Kroc maneuvered himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire. The film also stars Laura Dern as Ray Kroc’s first wife Ethel; John Carroll Lynch as Mac McDonald and Nick Offerman as Dick McDonald.
