(Clockwise from center) Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Gloria the Hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith), Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer) and Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock) ask Gia the Jaguar (Jessica Chastain) to help them make a getaway in DreamWorks Animation’s MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED to be released by Paramount Pictures.
RETURNING CHARACTERS
Alex the Lion
The King of New York still yearns to return home to his throne in the Central Park Zoo. Hiding in a European traveling circus with the rest of the Zoosters may finally be his ticket back to the Big Apple, but things aren’t easy when the gang finds themselves as “Europe’s Most Wanted.”
Marty
Although he found his herd in Africa, Marty isn’t willing to leave his best friend Alex’s side. The opportunity to join the circus gives Marty the shot of adrenaline he needs…he just didn’t realize he is the one being shot…out of a cannon.
Melman
Did you hear the one about the hypochondriac giraffe who finally found love with a hippo? Melman’s dreams are realized as he and Gloria figure out how to balance it all…on the circus high wire!
Gloria
The sweet, sassy and adorably plump hippo-next-door found love in Africa, and now she is ready to take things to exciting new heights with the rest of the Zooster gang. Who says an oversized, heavy hippo can’t master the high wire act?
King Julien
Now he has the chance to conquer Europe, but the ever confident, always pompous, self-proclaimed King finally meets his match when he falls head over heels for the biggest bear under the big top. He will follow her three-wheeling tricycle adventure wherever she goes.
Maurice
King Julien’s second-in-command is always there to carry out the King’s latest wacky request or get him out of any jam – even when the European authorities are hot on their tails.
Mort
Ever faithful Mort will sacrifice almost anything (including himself) to gain the favor of his highness King Julien, but his constant dedication puts him in some sticky situations thanks to the boastful lemur king.
The Penguins
Stealthy and adventurous, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private sneak through Europe on a mission. They cook up a clever plan to help the Zoosters hijack a European traveling circus and turn it into a true three ring adventure.
Mason, Phil and the Rest of the Chimps
After taking Monaco and the casino by storm, the Chimps become circus operators — transforming a run-down European circus into a Madagascar-styled spectacular.
(Left to right) Vitaly the Tiger (Brian Cranston), Gia the Jaguar (Jessica Chastain) and Stefano the Sea Lion (Martin Short) help the zoosters make a clean getaway in DreamWorks Animation’s MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED to be released by Paramount Pictures.
NEW CHARACTERS
Stefano the Sea Lion
Stefano is a happy, fun-loving Italian sea lion who always looks on the brighter side of things. A true entertainer at heart, he’s up for any challenge to save the circus, even convincing Alex that the show must go on.
Vitaly the Tiger
The macho, Russian tiger Vitaly once jumped through flaming rings of fire to excite crowds. But after losing his confidence and more than a few of his hairs on one fateful attempt, he also lost his passion and his act. With the Zoosters joining the mix, will the leader of the traveling circus reclaim his former glory?
Gia the Jaguar
The beautiful Jaguar Gia is always on the lookout to discover something new, and she gets her chance when she convinces a reluctant Alex to teach her the trapeze – “Circus Americano” style.
Sonya the Bear
The traveling circus’s most ferocious animal, Sonya’s tricycle riding act is only topped by her ridiculous tutu. But her biggest trick of all will be casting a spell on King Julien, who is instantly smitten with her.
The Dancing Dogs
They may look like sweet and innocent little terriers dressed up in fancy suits and gowns, but don’t let these Dancing Dogs fool you – they are a bunch of wild hooligans looking for a little trouble.
The Andalusian Triplets
Esmeralda, Esperanza and Ernestina are beautiful horse triplets from Spain who look, sound and dress exactly alike. But their precision performance needs some improvement and the Zoosters provide the enthusiasm and encouragement to perfect their act.
MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED will be in theaters June 8, 2012.
