1, 2, ‘Elm Street’ Teaser For You!

We heard late last week that it would be playing in front of ‘Zombieland’ starting this coming Friday, but, luckily for all of us trolling, Internet fiends, the new teaser for ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ is in our claws.  It comes to us today courtesy of the trailer park on Myspace.

All in all, this looks to bring back the scare factor from Craven’s original.  It also looks like it builds on the mythology of Freddy, showing us precisely what happened to him when the parents hunted him down.  You gotta love the revisiting of classic scenes like the bathtub, and the pool scene looks to be an exact replica of that from ‘Nightmare 2’.  Plus, Jackie Earle looks to do an amazing job, but that really wasn’t ever a question.  In a nutshell, this is a very approving trailer that shows just enough to entice us into expectations for the film’s release.  Of course, we did say the same thing about ‘Friday the 13th,’ and that didn’t turn out all that well.

‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ comes out on April 30th, 2010.
