Trailer for Woody Allen’s ‘Whatever Works’

I love Woody Allen. I know, his films are somewhat up and down, but they’re all good on some level and many are great. Woody Allen is a filmmaker that fascinates me because of several reasons. He’s damn consistent, works like a dog making at least one movie a year. On top of that, Woody Allen is such a fascinating character in and of himself. On that note… in many ways, Larry David is a lot like Woody Allen. So, when I found out that Larry David was going to star in Woody’s next film I was curious and excited. The movie is called ‘Whatever Works’ and stars Ed Begley, Jr., Patricia Clarkson, Michael McKean, Evan Rachel Wood and several others along side Larry David and is set for a limited US theatrical release on June 19, 2009. Check out the first trailer below…

Woody Allen’s next film, ‘Whatever Works’, returns Allen to his hometown of New York City.   The untitled film starring Watts, Brolin and Hopkins will shoot in London.

‘Whatever Works’ is slated to come out on June 19th.

Post-Oscars Film Footage Here

Hope you didn’t turn off the Oscar’s broadcast just as soon as Steven Spielberg pronounced the first “s” in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.   If you did, however, you missed some pretty exciting footage of upcoming movies.   I love that they did this.   I really hope it turns into an annual tradition to reveal first-ever seen footage over the end credits of the Academy Awards.   For those of you who did miss out on this footage, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

‘Public Enemies’ and ‘Amelia’ look excellent.   Can’t wait for ‘Sherlock Holmes’, either.
