Prepare For KUNG FU PANDA 2 In 2011

DreamWorks Animation wants you to forget GULLIVER”S TRAVELS and remember that Jack Black will be starring in KUNG FU PANDA 2 with this little teaser.

Synopsis:

Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. But Po’s new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and and destroy kung fu. It is up to Po and and The Furious Five to journey across China to face this threat and vanquish it. But how can Po stop a weapon that can stop kung fu? Second Trailer For THE LINCOLN LAWYER

Check out the second trailer for Lionsgate’s THE LINCOLN LAWYER starring Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, Josh Lucas and John Leguizamo. See it in HD over at Apple iTunes.

Along with the story and great cast, THE LINCOLN LAWYER is looking to be a really good film for 2011.

Synopsis:

Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.

FADING OF THE CRIES Trailer

Written, directed and produced by Brian Metcalf, FADING OF THE CRIES is an indie horror film slated for release in 2011. The film features Oscar-nominated veteran genre actor Brad Dourif and stars Thomas Ian Nicholas (AMERICAN PIE TV series) and Mackenzie Rossman (7th HEAVEN TV series).

Brad Dourif is always a reason to check out a new horror film, but this trailer has some wicked killer special effects, action horror sequences and some promise to be a hit within the genre. It’s different, displaying a unique style and vision. Brian Metcalf may just have one of 2011’s most enjoyable indie horror flicks on his hands.

Trailer and Poster for 13

13 is the debut film from French filmmaker Géla Babluani, starring Sam Riley, 50 Cent, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham and Ray Winstone. Both a psychological thriller and gritty tale of the underworld, this movie looks intense and incredibly awesome. 13, which premiered in the United States on March 13th, 2010 at the SXSW Film Festival, is a remake of the 2006 French film, a tensely constructed story shot in black and white.

Synopsis: A naive young man assumes a dead man’s identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power, violence, and chance where men gamble behind closed doors on the lives of other men.

Only 1 Week Left To Get Stuck!

As some of you know, in addition to occasionally contributing to WAMG I am a filmmaker myself.  My first feature is a comedy called STUCK LIKE CHUCK, which Travis reviewed last year. Since then, the film has played several festivals and even won a few awards, including Audience Choice Comedy at SINY and an Indie Spirit Award in Orlando. It is set to be released on DVD and digitally at the end of the year but you can get a special signed & numbered “official bootleg” DVD right now. They are only available until July 31st and all of the money raised will go towards making my next film!

So what is the next film? STUCK LIKE CHUCK TOO. No it is not a sequel but a fictional retelling of my experiences on the festival circuit with my first feature. Think of it as CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM if Larry David was a 21 year old indie filmmaker. STUCK LIKE CHUCK TOO takes a satirical look at film festivals through the eyes of a filmmaker who is in love with his lead actress and struggling to promote his film’s big premiere. We plan to film it at the Orlando Film Festival this November and a ton of great people are already involved, including indie film icon Lloyd Kaufman and legendary film consultant Bob Hawk.

New MACHETE Trailer is ‘Sharp’

The new trailer for MACHETE is pretty awesome, featuring a slew of exciting cast shots, including Michelle Rodriguez, Robert Deniro and Jeff Fahey. Personally, I am looking forward to finally seeing Steven Seagal finally “lose” a fight… SWEET! Watch it, love it… get pumped for pure, hardcore action violence as only Robert Rodriguez can deliver.
