Review: ‘The Incredible Hulk’

Travis:

For anyone who’s doubted whether the second time is the charm, I assure you it is. The Incredible Hulk is yet another example of what is to come with the power back in Marvel’s and Stan Lee’s hands. Relative rookie director Louis Leterrier has taken his flair and experience from The Transporter movies and made a really successful adaptation of the classic character, honoring both the comic book and the original TV series we all love. To quote Ramman, “this movie was better than the first within the first ten minutes.”

Stan Lee teams with Disney for 3 new films

Stan Lee

Stan Lee has teamed up with Walt Disney Pictures to create three new films. The titles of the three new movies, being produced by Stan Lee and Gill Champion, are as follows: Nick Ratchet, Blaze and Tigress. And … that’s really all we know about the films themselves. As is the SOP with Disney, any details on their projects are being kept extremely hush-hush. What we can be fairly sure of is that these three films will probably be marketed more towards the little tykes and tykettes.

However, here’s what we do know:

Nick Ratchet will be written and  directed by Richard LaGravenese (P.S. I Love You, Living Out Loud).

Blaze is being written by Gary Goldman (Next).

Tigress is being written by newbie Zoe Green. This film should not be confused with another film of the same title  being developed by Stan Lee, intended to star Michelle Rodriguez (Girl Fight, Resident Evil), which is based on a villainess from the Conan the Barbarian comic books.

Yes, thats right boys and girls, the Wolverine movie is just around the corner. Here is the info we currently have via Marvel.com;

“Hold on to your hats, mutant lovers! 20th Century Fox has released the following statement to update movie fans on “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” the highly anticipated X-prequel set to star Marvel’s lovable Canucklehead:

“‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ is set to star [Hugh] Jackman and will be directed by Gavin Hood (‘Tsotsi,’ ‘Rendition’). The producers are Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter (who produced all three previous ‘X-Men’ films), along with Jackman and his Seed Prods. producing partner, John Palermo. The film will be executive produced by Marvel Films’ Kevin Feige.

“Leading up to the events of ‘X-Men,’ ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’—written by David Benioff (‘The Kite Runner,’ ‘Troy’)—tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.”

We can’t wait! “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is set for a May 1, 2009 release. Filming is scheduled to begin early next year in Australia and New Zealand. Check back here on Marvel.com for more updates on the film!”

Ohh I am excited.
