Amber Heard (‘All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’) and Odette Yustman (‘Cloverfield’) have signed on to star in ‘And Soon the Darkness’, a remake of the 1970 British thriller.   Heard also is making her first foray into producer territory, acting as a co-producer on the film, which marks the feature directorial debut of commercials helmer Marcos Efron.

Set in Argentina, “Darkness” tells the story of two American girls on a bike-riding trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them goes missing, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized.

The original was set in France and tackled the idea of how vulnerable a stranger in a strange land can be.

The new “Darkness” will shoot in Argentina.

    ‘The Unborn’ Poster Released

The first one-sheet for David Goyer’s new, supernatural, thriller ‘The Unborn’ has been released. Â  It’s a pretty uninspired poster that seems along the same lines as a couple of posters from recent, torture-porn movies. Â  Let’s just get a closeup of a woman’s face as she’s screaming. Â  Wow, that’s creepy (enter sarcasm here).

Given that the trailer for the film looks pretty decent, you would have thought the poster would have offered more.

The film stars Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman as a rabbi and a woman tormented by the soul of her dead twin, respectively. Â  It comes out on January 9.
