Opening in theaters February 10 is FIFTY SHADES DARKER The new extended trailer featuring “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)” by Zayn and Taylor Swift has debuted online.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in FIFTY SHADES DARKER, the second chapter based on the worldwide bestselling “Fifty Shades” phenomenon. Expanding upon events set in motion in 2015’s blockbuster film that grossed more than $560 million globally, the new installment arrives for Valentine’s Day and invites you to slip into something a shade darker.

When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. The first trailer has arrived for DRACULA UNTOLD. Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) stars in the origin story of the man who became Dracula.

Gary Shore directs and Michael De Luca produces the epic action-adventure that co-stars Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Diarmaid Murtagh and Samantha Barks.

PRIEST Teaser Trailer Wields The Hand Of God At Comic Con

Here’s a first look at the teaser for Scott Charles Stewart’s PRIEST that was shown during Sony’s panel at Comic-Con.

Show of hands. Anyone else think this looks like Stewart’s and Bettany’s last film LEGION and part I AM LEGEND. Nice to see Stephen Moyer, aka Bill Compton on HBO’s True Blood, doing double vampire duty. He plays Paul’s human scientist brother, Aaron, in the movie. Tidbit alert: Gerard Butler was originally cast in the film.

Synopsis:

Based on the graphic novel series “Priest” by Min-Woo Hyung, PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate world — one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

3, 2, 1 … Marvel Movie Updates

IRON MAN 3 — Before IRON MAN 2 even hits theaters, talk has already begun about IRON MAN 3. Comic book artist Bob Layton, co-creator of War Machine, has recently given indications for where the third Iron Man story may possibly lead. Layton suggests that the “Demon in a Bottle” story, which has Tony Stark succumb to the crippling effects of alcoholism while Justin Hammer attempts to take over Stark International. In addition, Layton suggests War Machine’s introduction in IRON MAN 2 could lead to his own spin-off movie, or his replacing Iron Man as a member of THE AVENGERS movie. Then again, both of these War Machine possibilities were fairly predictable. A War Machine spin-off would be kinda cool, but could also prove a little old hat at that point given the similarity and connection to Iron Man. True comic book fans would likely embrace it, but general audiences may not see the need for the spin-off and find it redundant before giving it a chance.

GHOST RIDER 2 — My concern is with David S. Goyer possibly taking the helm. He’s a fairly awesome writer within the genre, but his directorial outings have been limited to BLADE: TRINITY, THE INVINCIBLE and THE UNBORN… none of which were very well-received by critics or fans. THOR — With production set to begin next week, director Kenneth Branagh is finalizing his casting choices for THOR. We already have Chris Hemsworth (STAR TREK) playing Thor, Natalie Portman (V FOR VENDETTA) playing Jane Foster, Anthony Hopkins (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) playing Odin, Rene Russo (THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR) as Frigga, and Samuel L. Jackson maintaining his Nick Fury role, but there are some new announcements. Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd (PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN) has joined the cast and will likely play Professor Andrew Ford and Academy Award nominee Adriana Barraza (BABEL) has joined as an unspecified human character, likely that of Isabel Alvarez. Rounding out the cast are Kat Dennings (NICK & NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST) as Darcy, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Ray Stevenson (PUNISHER: WAR ZONE) as Volstagg, Stuart Townsend (THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) as Fandral, Tadanobu Asano (MONGOL) as Hogun the Grim, Idris Elba (ROCKNROLLA) as Heimdall, and Colm Feore (CHANGELING) as an unspecified villain. With this director and cast, THOR is bound to be incredible and is currently set to hit theaters on May 6, 2011.

SE7EN Team to Take on PETER PROUD

David Fincher. Andrew Kevin Walker. Michael De Luca. Even outside of SE7en, these three have accomplished so much in the film world. In 1995, when these three came together, they created one of the most engaging and original thrillers, arguably, in the history of the art. Now, 14 years later, they are coming back together. Heat Vision is reporting that the team is stepping up to adapting Max Ehrlich’s novel THE REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD.

The story centers on a college professor who begins having visions and dreams about someone else’s life. With his girlfriend accompanying him, he seeks out the source of these visions and comes across a woman and her daughter who may hold the key. Not having seen the original 1975 film, which starred Michael Sarrazin and Margot Kidder, or read the novel, I cannot say where the story goes from there. However, it is being billed as a supernatural thriller, so it seems this becomes much more suspenseful than the Past Lives Pavilion scenes in DEFENDING YOUR LIFE.

Of course, with the trio that hit us with SE7EN on tap to bring this one to life, expect nothing short of brilliance. Just hearing Fincher is on board to direct something gets the expectation levels amped. It is also great to hear that Andrew Kevin Walker is returning to the screenplay writing world. I’m sure he never left completely, but his last feature film screenplay was for SLEEPY HOLLOW (he wrote THE WOLFMAN remake, but it hasn’t hit theaters yet).

THE REINCARNATION OF PETER PROUD is set up at Columbia. Alison Rosenzweig will serve as producer alongside De Luca.
