Tim Roth Talks ‘Inglorious Bastards’

Cinematical got the chance to speak to Tim Roth (The Incredible Hulk) about the “hopefully” upcoming Quentin Tarantino film “Inglorious Bastards.” Roth revealed that he has been in talks with Tarantino for a while and would love to join the cast.

“It’s something me and Quentin had talked about over the years, and I don’t know what’s happening,” said Roth. “If Quentin wants me, I’m there. But it’s been years and years in the making. It’s gonna be fun, though. If it’s coming from Quentin, it’s gonna be fun. I’m perfectly happy to roll up; I don’t even need to read the script. Just tell me where to stand.”

In addition, Roth mentioned that he would love to revisit his “Pulp Fiction” character and maybe someday make a movie about Pumpkin and Honey Bunny. “We talked about it before,” revealed Roth. “Because he [Tarantino] thought they would’ve been good in Natural Born Killers; those two characters. We’ve often talked about it — day dreams — about taking those characters and making a film around them.”

At this point, Tarantino has confirmed that “Inglorious Bastards” will be his next movie and that he has already completed the first draft. He also mentioned that the goal is to have the finished film at Cannes next year.

Tarantino clearing his schedule for ‘Inglorious Bastards’

its about damn time, that’s what I have to say about this whole thing. I have been ready for this movie since Kill Bill ended..

Tarantino.info gives us some … info.

“Quentin was said to attend and introduce The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, but according to the organizers, he has in fact “cancelled and will not be introducing the shows. He has cleared all appearances to begin pre-production on his new feature, Inglorious Bastards. The films will be introduced by regional Leone experts.† That is bad news because this means no cool intro speech we’ve been hoping for, and good news because it means Inglorious Bastards is happening, now. Stay tuned (of course you can read coverage about the Spain event in 2 weeks at the SWDB)”

This will happen, so there you goo all you Tarantino fans (me) …

‘Inglorious Bastards’ will be Tarantino’s next pic …

“The next movie I’m doing is my World War II movie. I just finished up the first draft and if ALL GOES WELL, I will be here, in Cannes, in 2009 with INGLORIOUS BASTARDS!”

This is what has been translated on a french video from Cannes, thanks to joblo.com

Now..for those of you that don’t know, Quentin Tarantino has been working on this damn movie for YEARS. It was supposed to have come out after Kill Bill, but obviously he setup ‘Death Proof’ for that..so now, maybe finally it will happen.

Here is the synopsis:

“Set in World War 2, Tarantino’s story revolves around group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only they get the chance for a reprieve. He describes them as “Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II.” This is the only information he will release at present.”

Thus far Michael Madsen, Arie Verveen, Tim Roth, and a few others have been rumored.
