Here’s the Long-Awaited Trailer for Woody Allen’s RIFKIN’S FESTIVAL – In U.S. Theaters January 28th

Woody Allen’s latest work, RIFKIN’S FESTIVAL (which was shot in 2019 and premiered at last year’s Sebastian Film Festival), is now arriving in the U.S. in theaters and on digital platforms on January 28, 2022 from MPI Media Group.

Mort Rifkin (Wallace Shawn – Manhattan, My Dinner with Andre), a retired film studies professor, accompanies his publicist wife Sue (Gina Gershon New Amsterdam, Killer Joe) to the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. He goes not for the films, but because he’s worried that Sue’s fascination with her young buzzed-about film director client, Philippe (Louis Garrel – Little Women, An Officer and a Spy), might be more than professional. In addition, Mort hopes the change of scenery will provide a respite from his struggle to write a first novel that lives up to his impossibly exacting standards. With Mort’s relentlessly dismissive opinions of Philippe, and Sue’s sharp focus on her career as well as Philippe, their already frayed relationship becomes more strained. Mort’s mood lightens when he meets Jo Rojas (Elena Anaya – The Skin I Live In), a kindred spirit whose marriage to tempestuous painter Paco (Sergi López – Pan’s Labyrinth) is causing her pain as well. While Mort’s personal tastes have sometimes pushed people away, Jo’s intellect and shared sensibility draw them together. While Sue spends her days with Philippe, Mort’s relationship with Jo deepens.

Good Films announced today that principal photography on Ellen Brown Furman’s adaptation of THE INFILTRATOR is underway in London, before production moves to Florida at the end of April.

With director Brad Furman (THE LINCOLN LAWYER) at the helm, the cast includes Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony-Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston (BREAKING BAD, ARGO, DRIVE), Diane Kruger (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, THE BRIDGE) John Leguizamo (CHEF, KICK-ASS 2, JOHN WICK), Benjamin Bratt (LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA, TRAFFIC), Elena Anaya (THE SKIN I LIVE IN), Olympia Dukakis (MOONSTRUCK, STEEL MAGNOLIAS) , Juliet Aubrey (THE CONSTANT GARDENER, THE WHITE QUEEN) and Academy Award and Tony Award nominated Amy Ryan (BIRDMAN, GONE BABY GONE).

Produced by Good Films’ Miriam Segal, the picture is co-financed by Bank Leumi, Good Films and LipSync. Relativity International is handling foreign sales.

Set amidst the lavish excess of the 1980s, THE INFILTRATOR tells the story of Robert Mazur AKA Robert Musella, who became a pivotal player for drug lords cleaning their dirty cash. He traded on mob connections to become the confidant to scores of the international underworld, and the bankers who enabled them. Laying his life on the line, he infiltrated the globe’s largest cartels and discovered just how deep into society their influence extended.

Based on the true story of a fearless undercover agent, THE INFILTRATOR is a heart-stopping account of one of history’s most elaborate stings. The operation reeled in key players in a chain stretching all the way to Escobar. Their arrests would lead to the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, and shake the black economy to its core.
