Darren Bousman Set to Direct ‘Akula’

repo-jeremy-and-bousman

The man you see above with his arm around me just got another directing gig. Â  Darren Bousman, who is apparently dropping “Lynn” from his name, has signed on to direct ‘Akula’, a heist thriller written by Mark Distefano. Â  Paul W.S. Anderson is serving as producer.

The only thing we know about the film is that it is a heist movie, and it is set on a submarine.

“The tone is dark, but very different from the films I’ve directed recently,† Bousman said.

What do you think? Â  Glad to see Bousman branching out from horror? Â  Wonder how a heist movie set on a submarine is going to work out? Â  If you haven’t seen ‘Repo! The Genetic Opera’, why the hell not?!!? Â  Let us know by commenting below!

I think there was some error in scheduling as you guys just skipped right over us. If you bring the tour to St Louis and I will make sure that its a packed house, or I will buy all the remaining tickets myself!

So for all of you St Louis people out there, leave some comments below and tell Darren just how much you want to see this damn movie!
