Boston Marathon Bombing Film STRONGER Trailer Stars Jake Gyllenhaal

STRONGER is the inspiring true story of Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man who captured the hearts of his city and the world to become the symbol of hope following the infamous 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the first trailer for the film.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Jeff, a 27-year-old, working-class Boston man who was at the marathon to try and win back his ex-girlfriend Erin (Tatiana Maslany). Waiting for her at the finish line when the blast occurs, he loses both his legs in the attack. After regaining consciousness in the hospital, Jeff is able to help law enforcement identify one of the bombers, but his own battle has just begun. He tackles months of physical and emotional rehabilitation with the unwavering support of Erin and his family. It is Jeff’s deeply personal account of the heroic journey that tests a family’s bond, defines a community’s pride and inspires his inner courage to overcome devastating adversity.

Filled with raw emotion, humanity and humor, STRONGER is the inspirational real-life story of the man who became the living embodiment of “Boston Strong.” The film also stars Academy Award nominee Miranda Richardson and is directed by David Gordon Green.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions will release STRONGER in theaters September 22, 2017.

The wait is almost over. Fans of Warcraft got a first look at Duncan Jones’ WARCRAFT movie with a quick teaser of the trailer debuting in three days on November 6th.

From Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures comes WARCRAFT, an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

Duncan Jones’ WARCRAFT Film Has Its First Photo And Logo

We’ve got your first look at Legendary’s WARCRAFT – the 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe.

Directed by Duncan Jones (MOON, SOURCE CODE) and written by Charles Leavitt and Duncan Jones, the film is a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production.

The cast includes Travis Fimmel, Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Ben Schnetzer, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, Anna Galvin, and Daniel Wu.

Jones went on Twitter to share with fans the first photos of Orgrim from his upcoming film.

The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner and Stuart Fenegan. Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams serve as executive producers. Rob Pardo, Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter and Rebecca Steel Roven co-produce.

While America’s favorite annual pastime, baseball, is just beginning the 2014 season, the studios are making sure the game of football is not far from the minds of moviegoers.

The NFL based movie DRAFT DAY opens this weekend in theaters and when the Friday Night Lights of High School football ramps up in the dog days of Summer, Sony Pictures will be releasing the new sports drama WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL on August 22nd.

Inspired by a true story, WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL tells the remarkable journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur (Jim Caviezel), who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.

JOHN DIES AT THE END Teaser Trailer Starring Paul Giamatti, Doug Jones And Clancy Brown

From director Don Coscarelli (BUBBA HO-TEP, PHANTASM and THE BEASTMASTER), check out the teaser trailer for what’s sure to be a cult classic – JOHN DIES AT THE END. The first footage of Coscarelli’s film — a 5-minute clip, and the teaser trailer — premiered on Sunday at Fantastic Fest along with surprise guest, actor Doug Jones. Both Coscarelli and Jones were great, enthusiastic and stayed for a short Q&A afterward. Those in attendance also received a cool JOHN DIES AT THE END t-shirt. Score!

Synopsis:

It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.

On The Set of Favreau’s COWBOYS & ALIENS

Director Jon Favreau tweeted this peek at the set of his new film COWBOYS & ALIENS, Dreamworks’ and Universal Pictures’ upcoming adaptation of Platinum Studios cross-genre comic. A source on the set told me it’s filled deep with a lot of extras and that shooting began on Thursday, June 10th in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Even one of the film’s stars, Olivia Wilde, tweeted “Its the coolest set ever.”

Favreau is directing Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Noah Ringer, Paul Dano, Clancy Brown, Adam Beach, and Ana De La Reguera in a film that crosses the classic Western with the alien-invasion movie in a blazingly original way. Joined by Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Damon Lindelof, Denis L. Stewart, and Dan Forcey, COWBOYS & ALIENS will be an action thriller that will take audiences into the Old West, where a lone cowboy leads an uprising against a terror beyond our world.

The film’s synopsis:

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move onto its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford).
