“CHECKING IN”
Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either.
YOUNG ADULT reunites Jason Reitman, Academy Award® nominated director of JUNO, and Academy Award® winning screenwriter, Diablo Cody.
This weekend I will be attending press conferences for the films HUGO and YOUNG ADULT. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of press conferences. I much prefer 1:1 interviews since I like to have a conversation rather than just ask questions. Plus, I always get the feeling no one cares about the strange questions I come up with. That’s where you come in!
In the comments, post your questions for the cast & crew of either film. Press conferences can get pretty chaotic but I’ll try my best to get some of them answered. Check out the trailers below for some inspiration!

“Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.”
This past weekend at the PROMEMTHEUS Comic Con panel, director Ridley Scott spoke with screenwriter Damon Lindelof (LOST) and actress Charlize Theron about the prequel, being shot in 3D, to his 1979 sci-fi classic, ALIEN. PROMETHEUS stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Ben Foster, and Logan Marshall-Green.

In May Universal Pictures announced that the film would be moved into the 2012 summer movie season after originally being set for release in late December next year.
“As Rupert and Joe were finalizing casting and preproduction of Snow White and the Huntsman, we realized that the ambitious and fully-formed world they had promised was blowing away all expectations,” said Universal Chairman Adam Fogelson and Co-Chairman Donna Langley in a joint statement. “We’re thrilled that Universal will be bringing this singular version of a timeless story almost seven months earlier than anticipated.”
