TFD has also opened the store for its highly anticipated deluxe collector’s, limited-edition of the Sherlock Holmes Vault Collection, available to order now through Nov. 26 on Blu-ray ($69.99) and DVD ($59.99). The Sherlock Holmes Box Set comes complete with exclusive Sherlock Holmes collector’s items, fitting for every Sherlock fan to take on a case of their own. Dark Star Pictures has acquired North American rights to Renata Pinheiro’s sci-fi thriller KING CAR. Dark Star Pictures will release the film in theaters and on VOD/Digital on January 7, 2022. KING CAR World Premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, North American Premiered at Fantasia Film Festival, and U.S. Premiered at Fantastic Fest.

A young man’s ability to surreally speak with cars sparks a revolution that could save his community. When his invention inadvertently accelerates the underlying problems, our hero’s quest puts him in a fight for survival with capitalism’s zombies.

Netflix Documentary Series VOIR Begins December 6

In June of 1975, the blockbuster was born when director Steven Spielberg’s JAWS hits theaters to an unsuspecting movie going public. The summer blockbuster spawned a series of movies and literally made people afraid to go into the water. Bruce the Shark, as he is known to the die-hard fans, and the sole surviving full-scale model of the 1975 Jaws shark, now lives at the Academy Museum. Based on the 1974 Peter Benchley novel, Jaws was an immediate critical and commercial success, and was selected by the Library of Congress in 2001 for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as a work of utmost cultural, historical and aesthetic significance.

Winner of 3 Oscars including Best Score (John Williams), Editing (Verna Fields) and Best Sound and nominated for Best Picture, JAWS is my favorite film of all time.

Fellow JAWS fanatic Sasha Stone of Awards Daily is one of the subjects of Netflix’s upcoming documentary series VOIR.
