WRECK-IT RALPH Coming To Blu-ray & DVD On March 5, 2013

Walt Disney Animation Studios will debut the hit arcade-game-hopping adventure WRECK-IT RALPH marking a Disney first with the early release of the HD Digital and HD Digital 3D on February 12, 2013. The 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack, 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, SD Digital and On-Demand release will follow on March 5, 2013.

Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games Arrives On Blu-ray Disc, DVD, On Demand And Digital Download On August 18

Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games juggernaut will arrive on home entertainment at 12:01 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, as the first film in Lionsgate’s (NYSE: LGF) The Hunger Games franchise, which has already grossed nearly $400 million at the North American box office and is approaching $650 million at the worldwide box office, debuts on 2-disc DVD (plus digital copy), 2-disc Blu-Ray (plus digital copy), VOD and digital download with three hours of previously unavailable bonus materials in the biggest home entertainment launch in Lionsgate’s history, the Company announced today.

The film, based on the New York Times best-selling novel from writer Suzanne Collins, achieved a remarkable four-week run as the #1 film at the North American theatrical box office where it has already grossed $392 million, ranking as the 14th highest-grossing film of all time, and it is approaching $650 million at the worldwide box office with an early June opening slated in China.

The 2-disc Blu-ray and 2-disc DVD arrive loaded with over three hours of extensive bonus materials including the comprehensive eight-part documentary, “The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games.” Other special features include a sit-down conversation with director Gary Ross as well as numerous featurettes that examine the global success of the books, the creation of the control room in the film and the filmmakers’ motivation behind creating new scenes that were not in the book plus much more.  The Blu-ray Disc set contains an additional exclusive feature, “Preparing for the Games: A Director’s Process,” which looks at the progression of taking three key scenes from the book to the screen. JAWS is one of 13 classic Universal films to be digitally remastered and fully restored from 35mm original film elements as part of Universal’s ongoing 100th Anniversary celebration. The JAWS restoration began with researching and evaluating the existing film elements to determine the best means to restore the film. Over the course of several months, skilled technicians at Universal Studios Digital Services meticulously balanced color, removed dirt and scratches, and repaired any damage to the film elements shot by shot and frame by frame. Following the picture restoration, Universal Studios Sound team up-mixed the iconic JAWS soundtrack to DTS-HD Master 7.1, optimizing the sound on the Blu-rayTM for the latest home theater technology. The entire restoration process was conducted in conjunction with Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment’s post-production team to ensure the integrity of Spielberg’s original vision remained intact.

Synopsis

Consumers looking to view one of the best performances of the year will have a chance to see Glenn Close in the celebrated three-time Oscar® nominee Albert Nobbs for a limited two week engagement on Video On Demand and Pay-Per-View beginning April 10th through April 24th. The sneak peek will come one month ahead of the film’s debut on Blu-ray Disc, DVD and Digital Download May 15th.

The drama stars six-time Oscar® nominee* Glenn Close, who gives a “powerhouse performance” (New York Post), as Albert. An impressive supporting cast includes two-time Academy Award® nominee** Janet McTeer, along with Mia Wasikowska (The Kids Are All Right), Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Showtime’s “The Tudors”). Directed “with grit and grace” (Rolling Stone) by Rodrigo Garcia (Mother and Child), the film is based on the novella by Irish author George Moore and features a story by Istvan Szabo and screenplay by Gabriella Prekop, John Banville and Glenn Close. A critical favorite of the year, Albert Nobbs also earned multiple Golden Globe® nominations (for Close, McTeer and Best Original Song for “Lay Your Head Down”), in addition to its three Academy Award® nods for Close, McTeer and Best Achievement in Makeup. Albert Nobbs will be available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on May 15th, complete with an audio commentary and deleted scenes, for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and $27.98, respectively.

Newcomer Kenny Wormald stars as Ren MacCormack, a city kid transplanted to the small town of Bomontwhere dancing has been outlawed. Ren goes up against Bomont’s reverend (Dennis Quaid) to challenge the ban with the help of the minister’s daughter (Julianne Hough, “Dancing with the Stars”) and in the process reminds the entire town that dancing is more than youthful exuberance—it’s a celebration of life.  The film also stars Andie MacDowell (Beauty Shop) and Miles Teller (Rabbit Hole) and features an outstanding soundtrack with musical artists including Blake Shelton,
