Super Badass Geek Stuff: Battlestar Galactica Case Mod

Sorry I missed yesterday’s Super Badass Geek Stuff, but there wasn’t much to post for it so I passed. However, today I am bringing you a super rig that someone modded to look like the ship from Battlestar Galactica. Check this:

This machine has just about everything you could imagine, right down to functioning runway lights. You’ll find 3 2.5-inch LCD screens, and a nice 10-inch LCD screen on the side, just in case you’ve forgotten a full-sized one. Even more impressive is the slot-loading optical drive hidden behind the Battlestar Galactica medallion. I can’t even imagine the sort of time and effort it took to put this together. Kudos to Boddaker, the mastermind behind this incredible project.

That is dedication! Thanks to Gamer Front for the info, and here is another picture for good measure…

Super Badass Geek Stuff: Last Exit to Nowhere T-Shirts

Okay, imagine a world where all the coolest places in some of the best movies actually exist. Locations exist. Corporations exist. Restaurants and organizations exist. Now, imagine that those places follow the ways of Hard Rock Cafe and sold t-shirts. Imagine no longer, movie geeks. Last Exit to Nowhere has you covered.

This is just a small sampling of the t-shirts Last Exit to Nowhere offers. Can you guess what movies the above shirts reference? Guess below, and maybe I’ll give you a cookie.

Super Badass Geek Stuff: Zombie Apocafest 2008

These pictures were taken at Zombie Apocafest 2008 at BrickCon 2008 in Seattle. These were lifted from this flickr page.

When I first saw these, and saw that it was from something called BrickCon, I thought to myself..”do they seriously have a lego convention?”, and the answer is yes my friends, they do. The official site, http://www.brickcon.org, has all the information you can possibly handle about “adult lego hobbyist”..so thats what they call themselves. Very interesting..

Super Badass Geek Stuff: Hip to be Square Shirt…

“Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in ’83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He’s been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.”

This cat made an awesome Patrick Bateman t-shirt, not sure if he is going to get it printed up, but you can go harass him to do so on his myspace. Go fav this on emptees.

And for your viewing pleasure, the “Business Card” scene..

Super Bad-Ass Geek Stuff: ‘Iron Man’ Special Edition Steelbook

With all of the options for the ‘Iron Man’ DVD to buy, I decided to go out and get the steelbook version of the movie. This was an exclusive to FYE and Suncoast, and will set you back 26.99, but you get a $7 mail in rebate!

Here are some pictures…

So, if you are lucky they might still have a few copies, but don’t count on it!

Super Bad-Ass Geek Stuff: Remote Controlled Zombie

Okay, movie geeks. It’s time to take over the world. What better way to do this than to build your own, private army of remote controlled zombies!

Your Remote Controlled Zombie will groan as it shuffles, too (press button, he walks and groans; press it again, he stops). To help your zombie, you can also pose its articulated neck, shoulders, and hips.

For just $24.99, you too can begin building your own army of controllable zombies. Check ’em out here at ThinkGeek!

Super Bad-Ass Geek Stuff: Lightsaber Wii Attachments

OK, technically these are not ‘Light Sabers’, these are ‘Glow Sabers’, to avoid some of the legal pitfalls of dealing with captain George Lucas.

Below we have a couple of pictures of the product:

These are going to set you back $30-$35 bucks, but its only a matter of time until they release official ‘Light Sabers’ that will work with ‘Star Wars’ games. If you decide to buy now, you will get 2 “laser sabers” that will hold your Wiimote, and the light end is detachable.

Thanks to GamerFront for the info…
