First Run… Then Hide In New ALIEN COVENANT Poster

20th Century Fox has released another great poster for ALIEN: COVENANT in advance of a brand new trailer debuting tomorrow, March 1st.

This latest one-sheet is very reminiscent of the one released for director Ridley Scott’s original 1979 masterpiece.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise.

We fans can’t wait for the upcoming film! So many questions left unanswered from the 2012 film PROMETHEUS. Who were the Engineers, where did Noomi Rapace (Elizabeth Shaw) and Michael Fassbender (David) rocket off to, why were the Xenomorphs originally created?

If you’re in need of more ALIEN goodness before May, check our Steve Perry’s trilogy of novels that deal with events on Earth and in other locations in space set a number of years after the movies Aliens and Alien 3. Earth Hive is the first novel in the Aliens book trilogy, followed by Nightmare Asylum and concluding with The Female War.

Additionally, fans are still mourning the loss of ALIEN co-star John Hurt (Kane) and ALIENS Bill Paxton (Private Hudson).

In ALIEN: COVENANT the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

In case you missed it, meet the crew in a clever prologue for the sci-fi thriller.

CARS 3 “Next Generation” Extended Look

Today, Owen Wilson (voice of Lightning McQueen) served as Grand Marshall for the 59th annual Daytona 500 in celebration of Cars 3.

Also, a brand new extended look at Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 just aired during the Dayona 500.

For historical film buffs, 2017 is turning out to feature a treasure trove of WWII films focused on the arduous battle Great Britain faced during the war.

Christopher Nolan’s action thriller DUNKIRK is due in theaters July 21, 2017, while Focus Features will release director Joe Wright’s DARKEST HOUR, starring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill, on November 24th, 2017.

Now comes the latest film THEIR FINEST. Check out the new trailer below starring Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin, and Bill Nighy.

With London emptied of its men now fighting at the Front, Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) is hired by the British Ministry of Information as a “slop” scriptwriter charged with bringing “a woman’s touch” to morale-boosting propaganda films. Her natural flair quickly gets her noticed by dashing movie producer Buckley (Sam Claflin) whose path would never have crossed hers in peacetime.

As bombs are dropping all around them, Catrin, Buckley and a colorful crew work furiously to make a film that will warm the hearts of the nation. Although Catrin’s artist husband looks down on her job, she quickly discovers there is as much camaraderie, laughter and passion behind the camera as there is onscreen.

Directed by Lone Scherfig and based on the novel by Lissa Evans, with a screenplay by Gaby Chiappe, the film opens in limited cinemas on April 7.

Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler go all in in this first trailer for THE HOUSE.

THE HOUSE is set for release June 30, 2017.

First Look At Adaptation Of Ian McEwan’s ON CHESIL BEACH Starring Saoirse Ronan, Billy Howle

“A shift or a strengthening of the wind brought them the sound of wavelets breaking on the shore below, like a distant shattering of glasses. The mist was lifting to reveal dense trees and foliage curving away above the shoreline to the east. They could see a luminous gray smoothness between the boughs and leaves which might have been the silky surface of the sea itself, or the lagoon, or the sky—it was difficult to tell. The altered breeze carried through the parted French windows an enticement, a salty scent of oxygen and open space that seemed at odds with the starched table linen, the corn-flour-stiffened gravy, and the heavy polished silver they were taking in their hands. Here’s a first look at the Ian McEwan (Atonement) adaptation of ON CHESIL BEACH, directed by Dominic Cooke and starring Billy Howle (The Sense Of An Ending, The Seagull) and Academy Award-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn, The Lovely Bones).

It is July 1962. Their marriage, they believe, will bring them happiness, the confidence and the freedom to fulfill their true destinies. The glowing promise of the future, however, cannot totally mask their worries about the wedding night. Edward, who has had little experience with women, frets about his sexual prowess. Florence’s anxieties run deeper: she is overcome by conflicting emotions and a fear of the moment she will surrender herself.

Rocket Science is handling international sales at the Berlin EFM. The movie also stars Anne-Marie Duff, Emily Watson, and Samuel West.
