I MELT WITH YOU Red Band Trailer

Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Christian McKay are starring together in a new film, I MELT WITH YOU… and we have the red band trailer for your viewing pleasure!

Synopsis:

Richard (Thomas Jane), Ron (Jeremy Piven), Jonathan (Rob Lowe) and Tim (Christian McKay) are old college friends that gather annually for a week in Big Sur to celebrate their friendship and catch-up on each other’s lives. They seem like typical men in their forties – all with careers, families, and enormous responsibilities – but like most people there is a lot more beneath the surface.

As the week progresses, they go down the rabbit hole of excess as mountains of drugs are consumed to a blaring rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack.  Parties with much younger women spin out of control. Exhausted and run ragged, they bare their souls to one another revealing the disillusionment with their lives.  As the truth emerges, the reunion takes a much darker turn when a promise from their past is brought to light.  From director Mark Pellington, I MELT WITH YOU is a visually dazzling, wild and wooly trip deep into the male psyche, driven by four amazingly committed and profound performances.

Part coping mechanism, partially as a way to feel closer to his father, and to a certain degree to prepare others for his possible suicide, Norman begins to imitate his father’s debilitating physical symptoms, dramatically affecting his life and the world around him.

Emily, a magnetic girl with one of those rare enchanting smiles, gets caught up in Norman’s fabrication and struggles with her deep rooted romantic feelings in the face of Norman’s “impending” death. THE MAN NOBODY KNEW: IN SEARCH OF MY FATHER, CIA SPYMASTER WILLIAM COLBY

A son’s riveting look at a father whose life seemed straight out of a spy thriller, THE MAN NOBODY KNEW uncovers the secret world of legendary CIA spymaster William Colby, who rose through the ranks of  “The Company” and soon was involved in covert operations in Vietnam and other hot spots around the globe. But after decades of obediently taking on the White House’s toughest and dirtiest assignments, and rising to become Director of CIA, Colby defied the President. Braving intense controversy, he opened up to Congress some of the agency’s darkest, most tightly held secrets and extra-legal operations. Now, his son Carl Colby asks a series of powerful and relevant questions about the father who was a ghost-like presence in the family home—and the intelligence officer who became a major force in American history, paving the way for today’s provocative questions about security and secrecy vs. liberty and morality. The film forges a fascinating mix of rare archival footage, never-before-seen photos, and interviews with former National Security Advisers Brent Scowcroft and Zbigniew Brzezinski, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense and CIA Director James Schlesinger, as well Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Bob Woodward, Seymour Hersh and Tim Weiner. REVENGE OF THE ELECTRIC CAR

In 2006, thousands of new electric cars were purposely destroyed by the same car companies that built them. Today, less than 5 years later, the electric car is back…with a vengeance. In REVENGE OF THE ELECTRIC CAR, director Chris Paine (Who Killed the Electric Car?)takes his film crew behind the closed doors of Nissan, GM, and the Silicon Valley start-up Tesla Motors to chronicle the story of the global resurgence of electric cars. Without using a single drop of foreign oil, this new generation of car is America’s future: fast, furious, and cleaner than ever. With almost every major car maker now jumping to produce new electric models, REVENGE follows the race to be the first, the best, and to win the hearts and minds of the public around the world. It’s not just the next generation of green cars that’s on the line. It’s the future of the automobile itself. Featuring CEO and President of Renault and Nissan Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Tesla Motors Elon Musk, Former Vice Chairman of GM Bob Lutz and EV do-it-yourselfer Greg “Gadget” Abbott. Narrated by Tim Robbins. HIPSTERS

“While the Cold War heats up on the world stage, rebellious youth in 1955 Moscow wage a cultural battle against dismal Soviet conformity, donning brightly colored black-market clothing, adopting American nicknames and reveling in forbidden jazz. Straight-laced 20-year-old Communist Mels (Anton Shagin) finds these brazen “hipsters” shocking until he falls under the spell of one, namely Polly (Oksana Akinshina), and joins the new revolution. Soon he’s a peacock, cavorting in the latest flashy fashions, sporting an enormous pompadour and wailing on the saxophone—all in an exuberant musical that delves into a chapter of Russian history little known to outsiders. The winner of four Nika Awards (Russia’s Oscar) including Best Film, this vivid confection offers an irresistible blend of romance, comedy, drama, music, dance and politics in a story specific to the Soviet experience but universal in its celebration of self-expression and spirited opposition to mandated conformity.”—Mill Valley Film Festival. THE OTHER F WORD

THE OTHER F WORD explores the life of Jim Lindberg, 20-year veteran of the skate punk band Pennywise. The film follows Lindberg on his moving and often humorous journey from belting out his band’s anthem, “Fuck Authority” to embracing his ultimate pivotal authoritarian role in mid-life, fatherhood. The documentary features a large chorus of Punk Rock’s leading men—including Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Flea, and Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath.  Shot in various cities around the world, the film offers an intimate look at what life is like both on and off the road with the dads themselves offering their own thoughts on the punk rock scene, their careers, family life, and what it takes to balance each element in their lives. Combining archival footage, rare personal at-home interviews, and performances captured from current tours, THE OTHER F WORD is a heartfelt ride from the anti-establishment punk revolution to the endearing lessons that come with fatherhood and raising a family. WEEKEND- New 35mm Print!

Writer/director Jean-Luc Godard’s scathing late-sixties satire is one of cinema’s great anarchic works. Determined to collect an inheritance from a dying relative, a petit-bourgeois couple (Jean Yanne, Mireille Darc) travel across the French countryside while civilization crashes and burns around them. Featuring a justly famous centerpiece single-take of an endless traffic jam, WEEKEND is a surreally funny and deeply disturbing expression of social oblivion that ended the first phase of Godard’s career—and, according to the credits, cinema itself. WEEKEND is full of rage, violence and cruelty, but it is also full of tender poetry, metaphor and endlessly exciting imagery (courtesy of the great cinematographer Raoul Coutard). From the legendary director of Breathless, Contempt, Band of Outsiders, Alphaville, Masculin Féminin and Pierrot le Fou.(France/Italy, 1967)

OUTRAGE

Writer/director Takeshi Kitano (The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi, Fireworks, Brother, Sonatine) returns with his latest gangland drama, OUTRAGE. In a ruthless battle for power, several yakuza clans vie for the favor of their head family in the Japanese underworld. The rival bosses seek to rise through the ranks by scheming and making short-lived allegiances sworn over saké. Long-time yakuza Otomo (the filmmaker performing under his alias Beat Takeshi) has seen his kind go from elaborate body tattoos and severed fingertips to becoming important players on the stock market. Before long, several yakuza clans are out for blood in their constant battle for power and money. Theirs is a never-ending struggle to end up on top, or at least survive, in a corrupt world where there are no heroes but constant betrayal and vengeance. It’s Bad Guy vs. Bad Guy in a spiraling outrage of gang warfare… (Japan, 2010) http://www.outragefilm.com

On the surface, they look like other men going through life: they have careers and families and responsibilities. But as with many people, there is more to them than meets the eye. CORMAN’S WORLD

CORMAN’S WORLD is a tantalizing and star-studded tribute to Roger Corman, Hollywood’s most prolific writer-director-producer, and seminal influencing force in modern moviemaking over the last 60 years.  Featuring interviews with Hollywood icons and cinematic luminaries, some who launched their careers within Corman’s unforgettable world of filmmaking (Jack Nicholson, Paul W.S. Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Robert De Niro, Peter Fonda, Pam Grier, Ron Howard, Eli Roth, Martin Scorsese, William Shatner and more),  this documentary chronicles how Corman created his cult film empire, one low-budget success at a time, capitalizing on undiscovered talent, and pushing the boundaries of independent filmmaking. Director Alex Stapleton weaves archival footage from Corman’s early days of genre-defining classics—the original Fast and Furious, the original Little Shop of HorrorsThe Crybaby Killer, The Intruder, House of Usher and The Wild Angels (which at that point in 1966 was his 100th film)—with present day video of him and his wife Julie on location still at work as they continue to produce and distribute films outside the studio system: fast, cheap and out-of-this-world! A Film by Todd Rohal

**OFFICIAL ENTRY: SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL**

**OFFICIAL ENTRY: SXSW FILM FESTIVAL**

Synopsis

Storytelling in all its forms is skewered in THE CATECHISM CATACLYSM. In this divinely bizarre and funny tale, wild characters infuse stories within stories until the lines between the Bible, Mark Twain, and campfire tales are hilariously blurred. Father Billy (Steve Little), an eccentric young priest, is forced to take a sabbatical by his superiors when he is discovered telling inappropriate parables to his flock.  Billy tracks down his high-school idol Robbie (Robert Longstreet), who begrudgingly agrees to a canoe trip.  On the water, the two men reminisce about Billy’s days as the keyboardist in a Christian band and Robbie’s as a guitarist for a metal band.  When night approaches, they realize they have lost their way–and that’s when things get weird.

Buoyed by commanding comedic performances by Steve Little (EASTBOUND & DOWN) and Robert Longstreet (GREAT WORLD OF SOUND), THE CATECHISM CATACLYSM shines a light on the power of absurd fiction. On the heels of his festival hit THE GUATEMALAN HANDSHAKE and preceding his just-wrapped comedy starring Johnny Knoxville and Patton Oswalt, THE CATECHISM CATACLYSM is the latest from the unique comedic sensibility of writer/director Todd Rohal, and is a production of Rough House Pictures (David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, Jody Hill).

Directed/Written By: Todd Rohal

MEET MARTIN…

Martin is a mentally disturbed loner who lives with his nagging mother in a bleak London housing project, where loud neighbors and cramped living conditions threaten to plunge this victim of sexual and psychological abuse over the edge.

He works the night shift as a security guard in an underground parking garage, where customers and their vehicles come and go as he indulges his obsession with THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) watching the film over and over on the small TV set in his office and meticulously examining the scrapbook he has lovingly filled with memorabilia from the film.

Pushed to the brink by his harridan mother, haunted by the teasing voices of his abusive and incarcerated father, Martin sets into motion his plan to emulate Heiter’s centipede by creating his own version, in a rented warehouse, which he begins to fill with victims.

What follows is one of the most harrowing and terrifying films ever conceived, featuring a central character that makes FIRST SEQUENCE’s Dr. Heiter seem downright cuddly in comparison. THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) is a triumph in biological horror by one of the new masters of the horror film.

Starring: Laurence R. Harvey, Ashlynn Yennie, Dominic Borrelli, and Vivien Bridson
Directed by: Tom Six

NOTE : This film is being released unrated and contains very graphic and disturbing imagery.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) opens October 7th in theaters, and October 12th nationwide on demand.

Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home to an isolated outpost known as Thule Station. There, a crew of international scientists has unearthed a remarkable discovery. But elation quickly turns to terrifying paranoia in the thriller The Thing, as the group of researchers encounters something inhuman that has the ability to turn itself into an exact replica of any living being.

Columbia University paleontologist Dr. Kate Lloyd (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’s MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD) has left behind the safety of her sterile laboratory and traveled to this desolate region for the expedition of her lifetime.

Joining a Norwegian research team led by Edvard Wolner (Fallen Angels’ TROND ESPEN SEIM) that has stumbled across a creature buried in the ice, Kate – along with fellow explorers Dr. Sander Halvorson (Season of the Witch’s ULRICH THOMSEN) and Adam (NCIS: Los Angeles’ ERIC CHRISTIAN OLSEN)—discovers an organism that seems to have died in the ice eons ago.

When a simple experiment near this outpost frees the thing from its frozen prison, Kate must join the pilot, Carter (Warrior’s JOEL EDGERTON), and his sidekick, Jameson (Lost’s ADEWALE AKINNUOYE-AGBAJE), to keep it from killing everyone and anything it encounters. And in this vast, intense land, a parasite suddenly mimics anything it touches…pitting human against human as it fights to survive and flourish.

The Thing, which serves as a prelude to John Carpenter’s classic 1982 film of the same name, is directed by MATTHIJS VAN HEIJNINGEN in his feature-film debut. The thriller is written by ERIC HEISSERER (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and based on the classic story of terror “Who Goes There?” by JOHN W. CAMPBELL JR.

THE OTHER F WORD Opens In LA & NY November 4th

THE OTHER F WORD, a documentary exploring punk rockers turned fathers opens in Los Angeles and New York on November 4th. The film talks with Jim Lindberg from the seminal skate-punk band Pennywise and a bunch of other rockers (Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, Tony Hawk, Mark Mothersbaugh, Rancid’s Lars Fredriksen, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) to examines what happens when a generation’s ultimate anti-authoritarians become society’s ultimate authorities – dads. (Directed by Andrea Blaugrund Nevins, produced by Cristan Reilly, and executive produced by Morgan Spurlck & Jeremy Chilnick.

This revealing, funny, and touching film asks what happens when a generation’s ultimate anti-authoritarians – punk rockers – become society’s ultimate authorities – dads. With a large chorus of punk rock’s leading men – Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath – THE OTHER F WORD follows Jim Lindberg, a 20-year veteran of the skate punk band Pennywise, on his hysterical and moving journey from belting his band’s anthem ”F–k Authority,” to embracing his ultimately authoritarian role in mid-life: fatherhood.
Other dads featured in the film include Art Alexakis (Everclear), Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo), Tony Adolescent (The Adolescents), Fat Mike (NOFX), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), skater Tony Hawk, and many others.
