– New York, NY – 4/16/11 – Morales ROARS FOR THE SAVANNA – News Anchor Natalie Morales with Jewelry Designer Alex Woo and Model Veronic Varelova joined directors Keith Scholey and Alastair Fothergill, among others, for a special NYC screening of Disneynature’s big-screen adventure “African Cats” donning a special pendant created by New York jewelry designer Alex Woo. Inspired by the film, the design spotlights the enduring relationships between a mother and her young. Narrated by Oscar – nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson, “African Cats” features the real-life love, humor and determination of the majestic kings of the savanna as they care for their families. The film leaps into theaters this Friday, April 22 – Earth Day 201, through “See ‘African Cats,’ Save the Savanna,” Disneynature will donate a portion of the proceeds from the film’s opening-week ticket sales – April 22-28, to the African Wildlife Foundation to help animals in the African savanna.
