Return To Berk In HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 Poster; New Trailer Thursday

DreamWorks Animation has unveiled this brand new poster for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 ahead of the global premiere tomorrow of the final trailer. The studio uploaded this quick preview to their official Instagram account.

The thrilling second chapter of the epic HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON trilogy brings us back to the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years after the two have successfully united dragons and vikings on the island of Berk.

Combined with the score of composer John Powell, the original 2010 film was pure magic. He has returned for the second and subsequent third film, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3.

While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.

Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3, the next two chapters to the Academy Award-nominated original film, will be released on June 13, 2014 and June 17, 2016, respectively.

Both are being directed and written by Dean DeBlois (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON) and produced by Bonnie Arnold (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON). DeBlois and Chris Sanders (THE CROODS, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON) are serving as executive producers. Also inspired by the book series by Cressida Cowell, the sequels will again star Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 additionally stars Kit Harrington, Djimon Hounsou and two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett.
