From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg, the Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy is one of the most successful film franchises in worldwide box-office history. On a remote tropical island, an amazing living theme park becomes a game of survival for humans foolhardy enough to set foot on it. Meticulously recreated dinosaurs spring to astonishing life as the film’s breathtaking special effects and thrilling action sequences keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Each chapter of the history-making saga delivers even more action and spectacular visual effects than its predecessor, as nature’s ultimate killing machines once again rule the earth. Almost 20 years after its inception, the Jurassic Park Trilogy remains an unmatched cinematic experience.

Jurassic Park

A multimillionaire (Richard Attenborough) unveils a new theme park where visitors can observe dinosaurs cloned using advanced DNA technology. But when an employee tampers with the security system, the dinosaurs escape, forcing the visitors to fight for their survival. Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern star in this thrilling, action-packed blockbuster from acclaimed director Steven Spielberg and based on the novel by Michael Crichton.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Four years after Jurassic Park’s genetically bred dinosaurs ran amok, multimillionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) shocks chaos theorist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) by revealing that Hammond has been breeding more beasties at a secret location. Malcolm, his paleontologist ladylove (Julianne Moore) and a wildlife videographer (Vince Vaughn) join an expedition to document the lethal lizards’ natural behavior in this action-packed thriller.

Jurassic Park III

In need of funds for research, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) accepts a large sum of money to accompany Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Tea Leoni) on an aerial tour of the infamous Isla Sorna. It isn’t long before all hell breaks loose and the stranded wayfarers must fight for survival as a host of new — and even more deadly — dinosaurs try to make snacks of them. Laura Dern, Michael Jeter, Alessandro Nivola and Trevor Morgan co-star.

Who do I want in my corner? That’s not even difficult to answer at this point, definitely the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Recent evidence shows that they were even more massive in terms of muscle than we once imagined. Sending the tyrant lizard king in the general direction of anyone is a near surefire win. Others may think that the raptors may be a more intelligent choice. Though they might have been vicious, we now know that velociraptors were only 2 feet tall. Also, raptors were effective in packs but just a single raptor on your side wouldn’t do you much good. You see while they are small, you can’t trust them. They’re too clever. There’s always another raptor, waiting to strike you down.

A T-Rex. I thought the end of the first movie made it clear who was the best.

  5. Michelle

    October 27, 2011 at 2:34 pm

Velociraptor definately cause they are super great stealthly hunters and I would want them as my buddies so they wouldnt kill me. Even though the t-rex looks cute with his little arms, you could just be still and its like woah, wait where did they go?

  6. Joe

    October 27, 2011 at 3:03 pm

Definitely velociraptor, simply because of stealth, speed, size, and smartness.

  7. Lauren Halvorson

    October 27, 2011 at 3:51 pm

Velociraptor. They are super intelligent, super fast, and mad deadly. Also, they can open doors. Can a T-Rex open doors? I think not.

In addition, Velociraptors have been known practitioners of philosophy, and therefore would be able to wipe the floor if a philosophical quandary ever came their way.

They also could effectively kill a T-rex given they were in a pack. I realize that a pack of Velociraptors got killed by a T-Rex in the movie, but this is because said Velociraptors didn’t have preptime. With preptime they could open some doors and sneak around said T-rex Solid Snake-style.

    This is all perfectly logical.

The T-Rex for sure! He took on three bitch-ass raptors at the end of the first movie! They may be smart and fast but the sure don’t have the smarts enough to stay away from the bigger badder beasty.

*TWO not three. I have no idea why I put three.

I definitely want a T-rex in my corner. After years of being picked on for his little arms, subtly shunned because of his poor motion-based visual acuity, and openly mocked for his immense mass, he is ready to explode at a moment’s notice in a veritable frenzy of rage and teeth.

  10. Tom

    October 27, 2011 at 8:06 pm

I would want T-Rex to win. Even after all the new stuff we know about dinosaurs since I was a kid learning about them, T-Rex is the King; there’s a reason they named him the terrible lizard.

  11. Michael Gregorash

    October 28, 2011 at 9:06 am

Oooo, good arguments either way. For my money, however, I’d want a Velociraptor in my corner. Yes, the T-Rex has size and strength, I’ll give you that. However, the T-Rex has a vision impairment in that it can’t see you if you’re not moving. Plus, the T-Rex is so big that it would have some maneuverability issues with fighting something smaller. And finally, the Velociraptor is a ‘thinking dinosaur’ – they can see a situation and can come up with a strategy to attack the situation (not just lumber ahead). Yup, the Velociraptor is my pick in a fight!

    October 28, 2011 at 12:57 pm

I am not going to offer up all the paleontological-scientific
suggestions and details about the T-rex, we already know that he’s a badass! So with that in mind, here are my reasons I choose the first, TRUE KING of the jungle, to have him in my corner.
I would want the T-Rex in my corner, because he is my all-time favorite meat-o-saurus (dinosaur)! ever since I was five years old and still is my favorite dino to this day! He’s a true meat and no potaoes type of dino! The Velociraptor wouldn’t stand a chance in a battle up against the massive, protein enriched and empowered T-Rex!

simple ,a Velociraptor, they’re quick and quiet . a T-Rex is too large and noisey . A Velociraptor gives you the upper hand in any brawl ,it has three strongly curved claws, and an enlarged claw, which could is over 6.5 cm (2.6 in) long thats used used to tear into prey, possibly delivering a fatal blow. Now i want that on my side ,remember “big surprises come in small packages ” and this WEAREMOVIEGEEKS is creature you would need on your corner at all times .

  14. Justin W.

    October 28, 2011 at 1:53 pm

I would want a Velociraptor because they are short and fast. They are super smart, and extra stealthy. Sounds like I’m describing myself :) I guess 2 Justin’s are better than 1!

  15. Joe M.

    October 28, 2011 at 2:21 pm

I would want the T rex in my corner because its one of the biggest meat eaters. It weighs 8 tons and also has a well developed sense of smell. He could eat large dinosaurs. It was 40 feet tall and one of the biggest dinosaurs that ever lived.Tyrannosaurus rex has the advantage in size and pure power.a single raptor wouldn’t have a chance without a pack of them.

  16. Scott Smith

    October 28, 2011 at 3:07 pm

T-Rex. Provides a better distraction. The other dinosaurs are arguing over whether his vision is based on movement and you get away.

T-Rex, because he’s the big dog! He the biggest, the baddest, and the best!

    October 29, 2011 at 10:35 pm

the T Rex us sure to win
size 20 feet high weighs 6.5 tons and the skull is 5 ft long

the velociraptor if not smart not fast weighs 30 pounds five to six feet tall

    now who would you choose

  19. Amanda

    October 30, 2011 at 6:30 pm

Velociraptor is my pick because they think ahead and make a plan before they attack

  20. Adam Nelson

    October 30, 2011 at 11:30 pm

I would want a Velociraptor in a battle. Unless I was being attacked by an elephant, a Velociraptor would be plenty sufficient.

  21. Ayesha

    October 31, 2011 at 1:18 am

A T-rex because they are huge, wild and strong fighters. They can run fast and if a human wants to escape from it, they can hide or stay still and they won’t notice.

  22. ben young

    October 31, 2011 at 6:59 am

Velociraptor of course! Cause you know they hunt in packs! Don’t want anything that won’t work if my enemy is standing still.

  23. rob rohe

    October 31, 2011 at 9:00 am

going on the david v. goliath mentality (and the fact that raptors are such vicious creatures) I’ll go with a velociraptor.

  24. Jacky Menard

    October 31, 2011 at 9:10 am

Velociraptor because it’s smaller, faster and a deadly hunter by nature

  25. Shawn Bryan

    October 31, 2011 at 2:56 pm

    I want the velociraptor!

The sheer skills and agility are the biggest factors with the Raptor they’re smart, fast, and travel in packs meaning you will never get ONE alone. The velociraptor will use those razor sharp claws on the top of their feet to slice across the stomach and make sure that you spill everything before twisting the head off and enjoying the hunted dinner! Ergo the PACK of raptors in my corner will destroy any T-Rex in the ring! Easily giving them the 1… 2… 3!

  26. Jim

    Velociraptor- Quick with razor claws!!

  27. Ken Parker

T-Rex, hands down! Those clever little girls have nothing against Big Daddy Rex himself!

  28. Lora

T-Rex….if nothing else, because it is my daughters favorite dino!!!
Just like in the dog world, I prefer the big dogs over the small dogs!!

this movie is a big blockbuster at that time and has the best special effects dino for the win

In A Battle,Who Do You Want In Your Corner And Why – Velociraptor Or T-Rex? I Definitely Want The Tyrannosarus Rex Because Its By Far The Largest Known Land Predator And Carnivore In Its Environment

  31. Marshall Slayton

    November 4, 2011 at 3:18 pm

Velociraptor, but only the ones from “Jurassic Park 3.” As Dr. Grant points out in his speech early in the film, if they didn’t go extinct, they would’ve been the dominant life form on this planet. Plus, did you see how smart they are? They spring traps to get their eggs back!

If you’re talking about raptors from the Spielberg Jurassic Park films, then I’d rather have T-Rex on my side. He munches through them pretty easily, even picking one off his neck. Yum yum yum.

But the raptors from the third film? I’d put them in my corner in an instant.

  32. lindsey welker

    November 6, 2011 at 5:47 pm

One reason and one reason only, the velociraptor can open doors..doors!! Yeah, t-rex can stomp them down, but come on, you stop moving and he’s like “where’d they go?” a velociraptor will hunt you down, out smart you and have no issues opening your bedroom door to snack on you while you’re sleeping….
