Samuel L. Jackson’s Uppity Films and Andras Hamori’s H20 Motion Pictures are teaming up to acquire to rights to Andrew Mwangura’s life story. Mwangura is a negotiator between the modern day pirated and the owners of ships hijacked off the coast of Africa.
Jackson intends to play the role of Mwangura in the movie, a man who makes his living as a freelance journalist but serves as a negotiator free of charge. He was an ex-marine engineer and now runs the non-profit humanitarian Seafarers’ Assistance Programme.
