No deleted scenes in ‘The Dark Knight’

By  |  5 Comments

Christopher Nolan didn’t throw any deleted scenes onto ‘Batman Begins’ and they are saying we can expect the same for ‘The Dark Knight’… From The Movie Blog:

“We know there won’t be any deleted scenes because there never are,† says Roven, noting director Nolan puts everything of importance in the actual movie. “There weren’t any on BATMAN BEGINS and there weren’t any on this one.†

I guess we can expect no director commentary on this one, like Nolan did for ‘Batman Begins’… is that being lazy or making people buy future re-releases?

I started this site back in christmas of 2007, and it is what you currently see today. I am 26, Married to the very beautiful Quinn, with 2 awesome kids..I am a super geek of the largest proportions.

I’m not sure. Deleted scenes can always be used in futur installments, especially in the case of Heath Ledger (may he RIP) as a deleted scene involvng him could be used to explain what happens to him leading up to a third film, i.e. a shot of him in Arkham would show he was arrested successfully.

However it seems slightly unfair to release a great film like Batman Begins or TDK on DVD and not give ANY deleted scenes out as extras. People want to see everything about it, how it was made and the scenes that were cut from the final project.

I like it for a change. I remember when deleted scenes or alternative endings were really interesting. Now people just throw in extra footage just for filler.

What are they talking about—“there were no deleted scenes…”? I counted 11 deleted scenes from dark knight previews. They’re LYING! This sucks there will be no deleted scenes.
