Wizard World COMIC CON St. Louis April 5th – 7th – Great Line-Up of Guests!

Pop culture comes to life in St. Louis next month! It’s the Wizard World COMIC CON April 5th – 7th at America’s Center downtown (701 Convention Plaza – St. Louis, MO 63101), and boy oh boy, do they have an amazing line-up of guests!

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. St. Louis show hours are Friday, February 2nd, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, February 3rd, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday,February 4th, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Wizard World Comic Con St. Louis is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday night.

Wizard World produces Comic Cons and pop culture conventions across North America that celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, television, cosplay, comics, graphic novels, toys, video gaming, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place at each event, with celebrity Q&A’s, comics-themed sessions, costume contests, movie screenings, evening parties and more.

JASON MOMOA

Jason Momoa is one of Hollywood’s exciting up-and-coming leading men. Momoa recently starred as the iconic superhero Aquaman in Justice League and will star in the upcoming stand-alone spinoff, Aquaman, which premieres December 21, 2018. In television, Momoa is currently in production for Apple series “See,” and starred as the lead in Netflix’s action/adventure series “Frontier,” on the acclaimed drama “The Red Road,” and played an integral role in launching HBO’s Emmy-nominated “Game of Thrones” with his performance as Dothraki warlord “Khal Drogo.” Momoa also appeared in The Bad Batch, Once Upon a Time in Venice, as the title character in Conan the Barbarian, and opposite Sylvester Stallone in Warner Bros.’ Bullet to the Head. As a director, Momoa’s talents were showcased in Road to Paloma, a road-tale character-driven thriller shot throughout the American Southwest, which he co-wrote, co-produced, directed and starred in.

SEAN ASTIN

Sean Astin (born February 25, 1971) is an American film actor, director, voice artist, and producer best known for his film roles as Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, and the title character of Rudy. In television, he appeared as Lynn McGill in the fifth season of 24 and currently voices Raphael in the 2012 Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.

Astin Stars in the just wrapped Sony Pictures Romantic Comedy entitled, “Mom’s Night Out” Starring Sarah Drew, Patricia Heaton, Harry Shum Jr. & Trace Adkins.  Films awaiting immediate release are, “The Boys of Abu Ghraib” and a WWII piece called, “the Little Boy.” There are three other titles that wrapped production in the 1st part of the year: “Extraction” with Danny Glover, “Freemason” (filmed in Salt Lake City) also starring Randy Wayne & Alex McKenna.

Astin recently received strong reviews for the charming and funny indie films, “And Their Off” and “Stay Cool”.

The child actor made his feature film debut at age 13. He portrayed Mikey in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster hit The Goonies (1985). After The Goonies, the young performer appeared in several more films, including the Disney made-for-TV movie, The B.R.A.T. Patrol, opposite Nia Long, Tim Thomerson and Brian Keith; Like Father Like Son with Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron (1987); White Water Summer with Kevin Bacon (1987), The War of the Roses (1989); and the lauded World War II epic film Memphis Belle (1990). He successfully navigated the transition from child actor to young adult in the filmsToy Soldiers (1991) and Encino Man (1992).

Astin scored a career defining, triumphant success in the inspirational and universally applauded college football biopic Rudy (1993), about the life-changing struggles and rewards of the title character, Daniel Ruettiger.

CHRIS KATTAN

Chris Kattan is best known as one of the longest serving cast members on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live.’ In the 8 years Chris starred in the landmark late night program, he became best known for his characters ‘Mango,’ ‘Mr Peepers,’ and one of the ‘Butabi Brothers’ in the ‘Night at the Roxbury’ sketch alongside Will Ferrell. Chris starred with Ferrell in a 1998 movie adaption of the sketch.

Since his time at SNL, Chris has worked as the series regular ‘Bob’ on ABC’s ever-popular ‘The Middle’ as well as had memorable appearances in the recent hit features ‘Hotel Transylvania’ and ‘The Ridiculous 6.’

HOLLY MARIE COMBS

Holly Marie Combs is an American actress and television producer. She is known for her roles as Kimberly Brock in the CBS series Picket Fences, Piper Halliwell in The WB series Charmed, and Ella Montgomery in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars.

BRIAN KRAUSE

A native of Orange County, California, Brian Krause is best known for his portrayal of Whitelighter Leo Wyatt on Aaron Spelling’s popular program Charmed.

Since wrapping Charmed (1998), Krause has starred in numerous TV programs, including The Closer (2005) (TNT), Ties That Bind (2006) (Lifetime), Devil’s Diary (2007) (Lifetime), Beyond Loch Ness (2008) (Sci Fi Channel), Warbirds (2008) (Sci Fi Channel) and CSI: Miami (2002) (CBS).

Among the actor’s previous television credits are: Highway to Heaven (1984), Tales from the Crypt (1989), The Bandit Series (e.g., Bandit: Bandit’s Silver Angel (1994)), Family Album (1994), Walker, Texas Ranger (1993), High Tide (1994) and Return to Cabin by the Lake (2001).

Krause’s film credits include: Desertion (2008), Jack Rio (2008), Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991), An American Summer (1990), December (1991), Stephen King’s Sleepwalkers (1992), The Liars’ Club (1993), Breaking Free (1995), Mind Games (1996), Trash (1999), The Mission (2005), and Protecting the King (2007).

DREW FULLER

Our Charmed family is having a family outing! Come bowling with Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause and Drew Fuller. Eat Pizza, wings, get a drink and bowl a game with the first family of Charmed! See if you can get a higher score and have a lot of fun! A group photo and a photo of just you with the three of them is included! This is a very limited event. Come have run in this unique experience! Pizza, wings and a drink included (one alcoholic beverage if over the age of 21 or a non-alcoholic drink for under the age of 21).

DANIEL CUDMORE

Appears as Felix, a member of the Volturi, in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. He returns the conclusion in 2012’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Prior to filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Cudmore was on location in Santa Barbara filming Rights of Passage. He most recently completed production on two projects: the feature film The Baytown Disco (returning to Louisiana for filming) playing Lincoln Oodie, and a movie-of-the-week for CMT called “To The Matt.”

Born to British parents in Vancouver, Canada, he grew up in Squamish, BC near the world famous ski resort of Whistler, BC. His Father is a doctor and he is the middle of three boys – all over 6 foot 5 inches tall. At 6 foot 6 inches, Cudmore is a natural athlete. He has played most sports competitively, including ski racing and snowboarding and has appeared in numerous skiing and boarding videos. He performed a variety of theatre roles in school & local productions, particularly enjoying improv.

Cudmore won a football Scholarship to Gannon University in Pennsylvania. But, after breaking his leg in a football game two years into his liberal arts degree, he returned to Vancouver. He continued with his acting studies and appeared in various commercials.

LOU FERRIGNO

Louis Jude “Lou” Ferrigno is an American actor, fitness trainer/consultant, and retired professional bodybuilder. As a bodybuilder, Ferrigno won an IFBB Mr. America title and two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles, and appeared in the bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron. As an actor, he is best known for portraying the title role in the CBS television series The Incredible Hulk. He has also appeared in European-produced fantasy-adventures such as Sinbad of the Seven Seas and Hercules, and as himself in the sitcom The King of Queens and the 2009 comedy I Love You, Man.

Lou Ferrigno was born in Brooklyn, New York to Victoria and Matt Ferrigno, an Italian American police lieutenant. Soon after he was born, Ferrigno says he believes he suffered a series of ear infections and lost 75 – 80% of his hearing, though his condition was not diagnosed until he was three years old. Ferrigno started weight training at age 13, citing body builder and Hercules star Steve Reeves as one of his role models. He was also a fan of the Hercules films that starred Reeves—and would later play Hercules as well. Ferrigno’s other personal heroes as a child were Spider-Man and the Hulk. Ferrigno attended St. Athanasius Grammar School and Brooklyn Technical High School, where he learned metal working.
