I’m a huge Chris Tucker fan. Always have been.

From his scene-stealing performance in THE FIFTH ELEMENT, to Russell Simmons’ HBO Def Comedy Jam and 1995’s FRIDAY opposite Ice Cube, starring in MONEY TALKS with Charlie Sheen, through to his role in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, Tucker is forever a pleasure to watch and is still one of the funniest comedians.

I was thrilled to read that the actor would be headlining his first full length stand-up comedy special titled “Chris Tucker Live” which had its premiere on Friday, July 10 on Netflix. It is one of the funniest stand-up shows to come along in years.

In the hilarious show, Chris Tucker returns to the stage he loves and showcases his mind-blowing comedic chops. From his pitch perfect impersonations of Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton, his take on first dates and marriage, visiting Oprah Winfrey’s house, to his singular on-stage physicality, Tucker shares his experiences from childhood to the big time.

The 90-minute special was filmed at the Historic Fox Theatre in Tucker’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

Featuring a video montage finale of his global travels with the show (underscored with Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Shining Star”), sticking around for the credits until the last scene is a must!

Best known for playing the role of Detective James Carter in the RUSH HOUR film series, the comedian visited James Corden’s “The Late, Late Show With James Corden” on Monday night to promote the special. While there, he talked about reuniting with RUSH HOUR co-star Jackie Chan on a recent visit to China.

Jackie Chan’s latest film, DRAGON BLADE, is in theaters and On Demand September 4, 2015. Chan stars alongside John Cusack, & Adrien Brody in the epic action movie.

Fans of the RUSH HOUR franchise may have to wait, maybe forever, for Tucker and Chan to appear together in another installment of the film.

In the meantime, CBS has plans for a TV show set to premiere in 2015-2016.

“Rush Hour”, a reimagining of the hit feature film franchise, is a buddy-cop drama about a maverick LAPD detective and a by-the-book detective from Hong Kong who knock heads when they are forced to partner together.

Detective Lee (Jon Foo) is a reserved, honorable master martial artist with lightning-fast moves who comes to L.A. to avenge his sister’s alleged death and learn more about her connection to a Chinese organized crime ring. Detective Carter (Justin Hires), on the other hand, is a wisecracking cop who plays by his own rules and has never wanted a partner. As exasperated as Carter’s boss, Captain Cole (Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee Wendie Malick), gets with him, she knows he’s a brilliant detective who gets results. Attempting to help the two get along is Sergeant Didi Diaz (Aimee Garcia), Carter’s friend and former partner who doesn’t hesitate to call him out on his antics. But even as cultures clash and tempers flare, Carter and Lee can’t deny they make a formidable team, and grudgingly admit that sometimes an unlikely pairing makes for a great partnership.

Bill Lawrence, Blake McCormick, Jeff Ingold, Jon Turteltaub and the team behind the RUSH HOUR movies, Arthur Sarkissian and Brett Ratner, are executive producers for Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was directed by Jon Turteltaub.
