David Ayer’s FURY Movie Opening on October 17 – Watch The Brad Pitt Trailer
Director David Ayer’s FURY movie has been moved up from the previous November release date to a mid-October opening. While still in the awards season gamut, Columbia Pictures’ action film wont go head-to-head with such behemoths as INTERSTELLAR and FOXCATCHER.
The new date gives it a little more elbow room alongside THE BOOK OF LIFE, DRACULA UNTOLD, BIRDMAN and GONE GIRL – all opening in October. The New York Festival (September 26 – October 12) announced GONE GIRL as the Opening Night selection, while BIRDMAN will close the festival.
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs, Scott Eastwood and Michael Peña, FURY opens in theaters on October 17.
