THE GIVER Movie Trailer Stars Meryl Streep And Jeff Bridges

Here’s the first trailer for director Phil Noyce’s THE GIVER.

The film stars Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Brenton Thwaites, Alexander Skarsgard, Katie Holmes, Odeya Rush, Cameron Monaghan and Taylor Swift.

Wow that trailer looks good! Its very LOGAN’S RUN-ish. And how creepy is Meryl Streep? I love it. But they need to put Taylor Swift in the next trailer. I don’t care how small her part is… if her diehard fans see that, they will turn out in droves – Jeff Bridges and Streep ain’t enough…

The haunting story of THE GIVER centers on Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community.

The film is based on Lois Lowry’s beloved young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbury Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

From the Weinstein Company, THE GIVER is coming to theaters August 15.
