First Poster, Trailer & Photos For Christian Bale’s OUT OF THE FURNACE

Here’s the first official trailer and poster for Relativity Media’s upcoming gripping, gritty drama, OUT OF THE FURNACE. Directed and co-written by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), the film boasts an Academy Award winning and nominated cast featuring Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe, Zoë Saldana and Sam Shepard.

From what we’ve seen in this great trailer, (mind you, it’s not a lot,) I can see Woody Harrelson with another Acting nomination – maybe even that elusive gold statue on Oscar Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Russell Baze (Christian Bale) has a rough life: he works a dead-end blue collar job at the local steel mill by day, and cares for his terminally ill father by night. When Russell’s brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears. The police fail to crack the case, so – with nothing left to lose – Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother.

Producers on the film include  Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Kavanaugh, Ridley Scott, Michael Costigan.

OUT OF THE FURNACE opens in select theaters on November 27th, and expands to additional cities on December 6th.
